We just returned from an amazing 7 night couples stay at this beautiful, small sized resort. With stunning ocean views and located high up in the jungle, Vista Celestial provides an exceptional and intimate vacation experience. We enjoyed an array of perfectly organized daily activities, followed by ultimate relaxation at the resort including yoga on their impressive outdoor jungle deck and massage services at the lovely spa (also in a jungle hidaway). Shirley, Marcos, and the rest of the staff provided friendly and impeccable service, and their garden to table dining was superb. Highly recommend this beautiful place.

Vista Celestial is a near perfect resort tucked away in the mountains of Costa Rica. Our group had an amazing time, the food... Amazing... The staff amazing the scenery beyond amazing. During our week long stay the staff including Marcos and Shirley never said no to our requests, they took care of it all. Our chefs consistently made unique and delicious food, and the farm to table demonstration made some of the best and freshest ceviche I've ever had.

I could go on and on about this place.

Seriously if you are reading this review and considering it... Of you don't go, you are making a big mistake.

If you want to feel pampered, rested, nourished, and relaxed, this is definitely the place to be. You can explore the local sights with shuttles leaving straight from the hotel or stay on site and experience the luxury of relaxing with an incredible view. Our group stay at Vista was perfect - incredible service from the time we set foot on site, amazing staff that learned our names quickly and treated us with exceptional care, delicious food prepared by a kitchen staff that pours so much love and joy into what they curate for each meal, all enjoyed in the most beautiful setting. The staff here truly go above and beyond. If you ever have the opportunity to visit this area, I can't recommend Vista Celestial enough. It was such a gift to experience this place!

We stayed at Vista Celestial to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and my Master's degree, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the staff and concierge made us feel like honored guests, and the welcome set the tone for an unforgettable stay. Our villa was absolutely stunning, but the true showstopper was the breathtaking view paired with our private plunge pool. We could have spent every hour of the day soaking in that scenery. The food and drinks were incredibly fresh and delicious, and every meal felt like a celebration of its own. Vista Celestial turned an already special occasion into something truly extraordinary. We will be back every single time we visit Uvita. Thank you for making our celebratory trip one we will treasure forever!

Vista Celestial is an absolutely beautiful boutique hotel! My family of 4 spent 2 nights there and it’s the type of place you wish you had a few more nights. The villa was immaculate with a smell and feel as if it was brand new. The views from the villa as well as the restaurant/ pool area are breathtaking! The staff was very friendly and attentive. We finished out the last leg of a busy trip here and having a guy with such a warm soul like Marco welcome us set up our last two days for relaxation. Marco served us some welcome drinks upon arrival and each morning greeted us with a smile and a new deliciously fresh concoction. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, this is your place!

We stayed 4 Nights at the Celestial Garden Villa and had an exceptional time there. The villa was recently renovated and very nicely redesigned with great detail and very spacious. The location is quite exceptional higher uphill with a supernice view of the pacific coast and the whale tale beach.
The restaurant terrace, slightly higher uphill reachable by foot was breathtaking overlooking the coast of Uvita - service very enthusiastic and very kind - breakfast choices freshly prepared and so tasty, dinner menu with 3 courses created by the chef with great dedication and creativity.
We loved the place and it truly turned out to be our favorite stopp during our Costa Rica trip.

My husband, 22 month old and I stayed in the villas for 3 nights this past June and it was a joy. Every detail was not only considered by vista celestial, but it was beautifully executed. My toddler was treated like a valued guest, not something we experienced elsewhere on our 2 week stay in CR. A table was always set for our tribe every breakfast including a high chair for her. A plush Sloth we named "Manny" was placed lovingly in the crib provided in her room. It was done with such care and class and ease. We constantly felt like we had the gorgeous hotel to ourselves - enjoying both the main and Ranchero pools. Breakfast was divine as well. We booked a rappelling tour via the receptionist and coordinated a nanny for the time we would be away. Not only was the nanny, Paola, a joy, but she was a staff member at the hotel and would watch the owners own children. We were so nervous to leave our daughter with an unknown member but the professionalism, care and white glove service of the hotel and owner inspire confidence and we had a lovely adult adventure (highlight of our trip and 5 year anniversary). My only small note was the distance up a very steep, one way, bumpy mountain was far from town. We were often back at the hotel prior to sundown (6pm) rather than brave that hill at night. The view, staff and serenity was 100% worth it.

The villa’s are beautiful decorated and have a very comfortable bed and large beautiful bathroom with an amazing view.
The room was also very clean and they came twice a day to change towels and clean up.
We also loved the outdoor plunge pool which was so nice after a warm day.
The hotel garden is super pretty and the restaurant was high quality. All the meals were fresh and well prepared.
Finally the staff is top notch! They are all super friendly and helpful. They organised our trips and provided a whats app with all info the night before.

Vista Celestial is one of our most favorite places we have ever stayed. It felt like we were being cared for by family and hope to come again soon!

Wow, this place is amazing! My husband and I stayed here for our belated honey moon/anniversary. It really blew our expectations out of the water!
When we first arrived and saw the view we were left speechless. It never got old; We could stare for hours (and did, lol).
We were warmly greeted by the Vista Celestial team everyday. Marcos was an absolute pleasure! The concierge team was quick to answer any questions or requested we had.
The food was incredible! We ate every meal here and tried new menu items each day. Literally everything was great! Breakfast and lunch had a menu and dinner was a fun surprise each night. They were able to accommodate dietary requests as well.
The WiFi and cell phone service (T-Mobile) was really good here too, which we did not expect.
One of our most favorite things about this place was the wild life. There are several trails to explore on the property and we saw sooo much cool stuff. Howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys, coati, humming birds, and the list goes on. It was amazing!!
Since other comments mentioned it (and made me nervous initially) you do need a 4x4 vehicle, since this paradise is on a mountain, but it was not bad getting up at all! We rented a Suzuki Jimny and it had no issues getting up and down the mountain.
Overall, 10/10. Would definitely stay here again!

The entire resort team was professional, courteous, accommodating, and went out of their way to ensure we received the best food and drinks, the best facilities and the best overall experience. The scenery was stunning. I would caution guests that you have to walk up and down some steep hills from your villa to the main campus. That being said, they will pick you up if you are unable to walk or just feel like you need a lift!

Vista Celestial was the location of our yoga retreat in Feb 2026. EVERYTHING was perfect! The staff, the food, the accommodations, the amenities, the property and again/especially the staff! They treated you like longtime friends...so warm & friendly. It's impossible not to love it here. Everyone was extremely attentive but we had personal interactions with some of the staff and very happy to give them a "shout out" here: Shirley was amazing handling all of our needs; Marcos is a fabulous server...so friendly & attentive; Keilor & Kevin were also fabulous in the dining area & behind the bar (the drinks were superb!); we got to meet all the chefs & they were so friendly and just love their jobs preparing amazing, nourishing food for the guests (Aaron, Harold & Joseph); you were always in good hands with Berny behind the wheel driving where you needed to go. While we did not have personal/by-name interactions with Housekeeping, Maintenance, or the Gardeners, every time we saw them, there was always a friendly smile & greeting. And clearly they are amazing at their jobs because the gardens & landscaping are beautiful and the rooms and grounds are pristine & all exceptionally maintained. And the setup of the yoga areas was exceptional! We definitely will return and we can't wait.

The food was great, the staff was incredible and the scenery was beautiful. The only thing I didn't like was the trail to the yoga platform and the walk up to the top. It was hard and treacherous and in my option dangerous. It was annoying to have to get a ride back and forth every day. The drive up to the villas was pretty scary as well.

This was the most incredible week ever! Vista Celestial had every detail covered to a T. From the food to the STAFF to the villas, everything was stunning. Second to none.

We chose to spend the first half of our honeymoon at Vista Celestial and it was an incredible and unforgettable experience. If you want to visit Uvita, Costa Rica, there’s truthfully no better place and we could not recommend it more! From the time we touched down in Costa Rica, our driver was there waiting for us. It’s a decent drive to Uvita, but from the very beginning he made sure we knew he was there for whatever we may need.

When we arrived at Vista Celestial, we were immediately greeted with a welcome drink and one of the most breath taking views overlooking Whale Tail beach. The check in process was quick and easy and before we knew it we were in our private villa. Wow. The villas are truly remarkable! They’re so nice you almost don’t ever want to leave your room.

We did excursions to zipline and head down to whale tail beach and in both instances we had a car outside our room, ready to take us wherever we needed to go - and communication with the staff was a breeze through whatsapp! Finally, the food was so delicious. We looked forward to every meal, especially dinner which was a surprise 3 course meal every night determined by the chef on site. We split our honeymoon with another location in Costa Rica and the staff at Vista Celestial helped us figure out all our travel and made sure we got where we needed to be for our transfer.

The people were truly invested in our experience and we’re so grateful for it! It was a luxury vacation in every sense of the phrase. If you’re thinking about choosing Vista Celestial, do it!!
