Useful hotel in Kumamoto.
Pros:

Good evening meal and kind staff. Good view of the castle.

Cons:

The chaise long was hard and uncomfortable. Traffic noise.

Kumamoto, città indimenticabile.
Pros:

Posizione ottima, personale gentilissimo ed educato. Stanza di dimensioni perfette, pulitissima. Veramente raccomandata.

Cons:

Un po’ old school, per certi versi, ma comunque molto comoda e ben servita! Unica pecca mancanza della cassaforte.

Exceptional location, service and hospitality.
Pros:

Breakfast buffet was generous, varied and delicious. We also ate dinner at the hotel cafe one evening and enjoyed the best curry ever! We spent the last two nights of a 20-day trip in this hotel and were impressed with the excellent service - at the front desk, the concierge and the serving staff. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Pros:

Die Frau an der Rezeption versuchte unsere Wünsche nach einem Zimmer mit Blick zu lösen.

Cons:

Das Zimmer mit Stadtblick, was wir zuerst bekommen sollten und gebucht hatten, blickte direkt auf ein Haus. Das zweite ebenfalls, das dritte war ok. Die Zimmer wirken renovierungsbedürftig und staubig.

Lage war Top. Zum Schloss und Einkaufsstrasse nur wenige Gehminuten.

Cons:

Hotelpersonal kam mir nicht sehr freundlich vor. Wickelte alles ultra schnell ab. Vielleicht war das auch wegen der Sprachbarriere.

Room with a view
Pros:

Grand old hotel in the middle of Kumamoto with views over the castle. Beds comfortable and we weren't charged for parking for the night. Easy to walk into the restaurant area of the city.

Cons:

No onsen or pool. The rooms and public areas are starting to look a little tired, but the price reflects that.
