The owner was very helpful.
Room and bathroom very small.
The room decor was very tired , it was like walking back into the 1970's. Hope I didn't wake the rest of the hotel up with noisiest shower I've ever come across.
The room was in need of a new carpet.
It was a quaint property, great location, friendly staff and the bed was incredible. Comfortable but also stunning carpentry of the frame, it was beautiful and certainly the focus of the room and the balcony was a great added bonus. So much so we will be trying to source a four poster bed like it. We also love how dog friendly the hotel is, it made out stay so much more comfortable.

Ideal location for walking the Ayrshire Coastal Path as its on the route and just a few minutes walk into town.

The place was clean. The room was well set up with everything needed. The bed was comfortable,Breakfast very tasty. Staff lovely. Good location just beside everything but also quiet with ready access to the shore and dog walking.

Not a lot of interaction from the owner, didn’t mention they had a bar, things to do and see etc!
The location was great and it was just a one night stop over. The room although a bit small was lovely and bright with 2 big windows. The breakfast was absolutely lovely as was the lady in the dinning room serving you, she was so pleasant, couldn’t do enough for you
If i had to say one thing it would be the bathroom, the door scraped the floor and the shower head did not fit in the fixings

The location was great, and quiet. We stayed on a Monday/tuesday. Very dog friendly with no arbitrary expensive dog charge everywhere else seems to charge. Our puppy had a great little trip there. Bed was comfy. Rooms were super warm but it was July maybe take a fan of you struggle at night in the heat! Very friendly helpful owner

I recently stayed at The Woodhouse Hotel in Largs and was genuinely impressed. The breakfast was excellent, with great quality and generous portions that set us up perfectly for the day. The team also had our room ready for an early check‑in, which was a tremendous advantage as we needed to get changed and head straight off to a wedding. This thoughtful flexibility made our stay smooth and stress‑free. Overall, a very positive experience.
If I were to note one small downside, the room—while clean and comfortable—could benefit from a more modern feel, particularly around the shower area. It didn’t detract from our stay, but a little updating would make the experience even better.
Overall, a welcoming hotel with great service and a few areas that could be refreshed.
