Tuctuc chauffeur die hotel ons aanraadde was niet betrouwbaar.. leidde ons naar heel verre theeplantage die geen draaiend productieproces kon laten zien op zondag… chauffeur zou dat zeker hebben geweten.
The staff were absolutely lovely, kind and accomodating. The manager Milan was wonderful. The location and the external appearance was also good. The bar and dining room were nice, and Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious. The staff went out of their way to help us feel comfortable.
Our room (and all other rooms we saw) were very dank and mouldy. The bathroom was full of mould, including the ceiling, walls, and bottom of the bath which was covered in black mould. I didn’t take a shower and used the public bathroom. We felt sick and congested after sleeping in the room. We were also very excited to use the pool table, but were told there is no pool table to use at the moment. The owner needs to address the mould issues in the rooms and bathroom. It’s not fair to charge $50 US a night for such poor rooms.

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Glendower. The staff were warm and welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was excellent. Great value for money, and I would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

Het personeel is heel vriendelijk.
Het hotel heeft echt zijn beste tijd gehad (juli 2026). Ze waren aan het verbouwen dus hopelijk wordt het beter. Prijs - kwaliteit verhouding is het niet waard.
We hadden een 4 persoonskamer met een groot twee persoonsbed en een enkel bed, één kind moest dus bij ons in bed slapen. Op zich geen ramp, alleen niet helemaal wat we verwacht hadden.

A dated, very well-maintained colonial-style home! I was allowed an early check-in upon arrival, welcome drinks, and even a towel after a long-haul flight. The staff was very accommodating and hospitable to the requests. It's perfectly located just outside Victoria Park, and the breakfast served was exceptional. 10/10 recommend to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya.

It was my marriage anniversary and we planned tour to srilanka with my wife and daughter. We booked junior suit.
It's nearby to city center of nuwara eliya.
Mr. Benedict, is a nice person. He took care of us very good.
He arrange decoration in bar room with baloons and all stuff. He arranged very nice wine bottle and such a nice premium quality cake with sparkling ✨️ candel.
Mr. Benedict and all staff really make my day. I cannot forget the all things they do for me and my family.
Highly recommend for stay in nuwara eliya.

It's a very beautiful hotel located in a very convenient place. Loved the garden. It was full of flowers in May. Loved my small getaway there.
