Die Lage ist umwerfend, das Personal very british, aber sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen hervorragend, die Aussicht aus dem super netten Zimmer genial.

Cons:

Einzig, dass es im Zimmer keinen Schrank oder Kommode gab, war bei einer Aufenthaltsdauer von 5 Nächten ein wenig mühsam.

Our wonderful stay.
Pros:

The best location to see the fantastic views of St Ives. The staff were lovely and the food was outstanding and our room with the fabulous view of Porthminster beach was just what you need when waking up to the sound of waves crashing onto the beach.

Cons:

Nothing to say about that.

Read this for a genuine review of Pedn Olva in Summer 2026
Pros:

To any traveller looking to book this place, it is worth keeping in mind that the view from rooms and proximity to the beach are the only good things about Pedn Olva. I may even argue that other properties would probably be offering similar views. The amount you pay will be only for the views which is splendid but don't expect anything more.

Cons:

Firstly, the rooms are tiny. We were a couple staying in one of the bigger rooms but the room still felt cramped. The toilet is equally small. The shower is ok though.
The staff are rude and very unhelpful. Particularly, Luke, the guy at reception was unprofessional and rude from the moment we checked-in. During our stay, the room was boiling and we asked for a fan, twice, but to no avail. Luke just kept making false promises instead of actually solving the heat problem. If you are looking to make a booking during summer, bear in mind the room temperature can be unbearable.
The room was not clean when we checked-in. There was an open pack of crisps in one of the bed side tables which tells you the level of cleanliness and housekeeping standards at Pedn Olva.
If you are a vegetarian or vegan, the breakfast and other dining options are extremely limited.
Don't fall for the views that this property offers, the overall experience is underwhelming.
