Recepcjonistka od razu poinformowała, że nie jesteśmy goścmi hotelu, a prywatnego apartamentu i możemy liczyć na ich pomoc tylko w nagłych przypadkach.
We were met in reception, and the agent took us to the room, and he assisted us with our luggage. Once in the room he went through how the electricity and water meters worked and how much would be charged.
There was one (only one) key for 3 people, we did ask for another key and it took them 4 days to organise it for us. We arrived Wednesday night and Thursday morning I advise our booking contact that 5 lights were not working and the balcony door and door jamb required maintenance, after mentioning these issues numerous times, no one came out to look at these, and we were there for 11 nights. I was advised that if I wanted these things fixed to go straight to the owner.

El alojamiento cobra tarifas adicionales por la limpieza, por ocupar la habitación antes de las 3 p.m. y por el consumo de electricidad y agua. Los precios de la electricidad y el agua son arbitrarios y, como indican los comentarios de otros huéspedes, en muchos casos intentan cobrar una cantidad desproporcionada. Además, se requiere un depósito de THB 10.148,95 a la llegada, lo que equivale a aproximadamente €272. Esta suma, al ser en efectivo, implica la necesidad de realizar dos cambios de moneda si se tiene previsto dejar el país en pocos días. Aunque estas condiciones están detalladas en la página de Booking, es fácil que pasen desapercibidas. En mi opinión, con estas condiciones y basándome en los testimonios de otros huéspedes, este alojamiento no debería formar parte de la plataforma de Booking.
Overall, this was a great place to stay. Great location and very quiet. The swimming pool was excellent however the pool loungers could do updating and there was inly one sun umbrella.
We have been to Kamala many times, mostly has a nice small town vibe but is still quite large with plenty of food options, and is only a 20min drive to patong.
This accom checked a lot of boxes:
- Excellent value - Modern style 2 bed & 2 bath app was approx AUD$110 per night + $8.50 power & water
- Close to beach & main tourist street but set back a little bit to be quiet enough
- Pool was good enough had shade and sun lounges.
- Restaurant on site served Thai and foreign options - Pizza was very good, thin base and woodfired oven
- Easy walk to supermarkets & local food places
- Short scooter or drive to more out of way food plaes in the village.
Sadly Kamala feels like it is very slowly becoming more like Patong, with a few more bars and nightlife, and now it has a Maccas :( would be a plus for some, but I can do without Rotten Ron's!
For the accom, nothing major:
- Shower handles leaked a bit
- Would have liked ceiling fans
- No broom
The property is very nice and location is very good staff need to be more attentive in all areas we were pointed up stairs on check in and had to carry own luggage cleaning staff just do quick once over and forget to replenish things I.e toilet paper.
This is a good hotel. Price is also good. It does need some maintenance and a bit more attention to detail. But my family and I would stay again.
We stayed in one of the 2 bed family apartments and were really happy with it. Generous space, nice layout, clean, direct access to the pool. Also great location, close to the beach and shops. Negative is it was a bit tired but the price reflected that and the front was awkward for taxi drop.
Altogether however really enjoyed our stay here.
This family oriented hotel is most welcoming. The staff are pleasant and helpful
Air con in bedroom could be better
Nice stay at the Palms.. there was a bit of noise from the karaoke bar across the road, but I just went over & joined in and all was good. Noise ended early anyway
Would return!
This property was clean and very spacious. Loved the penthouse family suite with rooftop deck. The suite was dated but good enough for the price. The housekeepers were lovely and kept the rooms clean everyday. The front reception could do better. They did not seem very welcoming or warm. Only 1 key & card was provided for the whole 3 bedroom suite which was inconvenient for multiple people staying. If one person was left behind and the key was being used, all electricity and a/c would turn off. They did not have any additional keys or cards.
It was difficult to contact the property through email
