The restaurant is open for evening meals Monday and Tuesday 5-8pm and Wednesday to Saturdays 9-2pm and 5-8pm. Sundays 12-6. The bar is open Mondays and Tuesdays 5pm to 10pm, Wednesdays to Saturdays 12pm to close and Sundays 12pm-6pm. Check in times are from 2pm-6pm. Early check and late in during the week is only possible upon prior arrangement.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

The Talbot was clean, comfortable and cosy. Staff were all welcoming and happy to assist. The home made breakfast was delicious and cooked to order.

The location was lovely, a very nice setting, with a nice garden.
There was no working shower in our room and we were not informed about this before we checked in. We mentioned it the following morning only to be told it was in the process of being fixed and awaiting a part. We should have been informed beforehand, it was very warm weather, it was a good job we were only staying one night.

Breakfast a little meagre

Impressive looking hotel, great staff, immaculate, biggest disappointment was the location. B.com stated 3 mils to Stur, it was actually 12 which meant we missed the start of the function we were staying for. Had the distance been correct i would have recommend it. It makes me question all B.com hotels

Booked 2 rooms months ago , well in advance.
When shown to each room was told that the shower over bath to each room was out of order and water was too hot. Could only bath and as I have a hip problem I wouldn’t be able to sit in a bath and get out of it.
This is such a welcoming, lovely Inn. From the moment we stepped in we knew it was special. Kim and Richard are phenomenal hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The food was home cooked and delicious. The room was spacious and well appointed. Our 6 year old loved everything as much as we did and is already demanding we go back, soon!
The hosts were exceptionally helpful and friendly .nothing was too much trouble and they even gave us a lift to our next destination due to mix up on our part. There was a varied choice for breakfast at a very reasonable price. The room was pleasant and clean and had everything that we needed. weI would definitely stay here again.
WeI can honestly say there was nothing we could find fault with in this accommodation and we have stayed in many places where we could not say the same.
