The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location which is one minute walk from the Plaza Mayor of Cusco. Unfortunately, everything else was extremely disappointing.

Cons:

The staff at reception, particularly one member of staff, was consistently rude and unhelpful. Every time we asked for assistance, the answer was simply “no” without any attempt to help or offer alternatives. Two of my friends had food poisoning and were vomiting throughout the night. When I tried calling reception, nobody answered the phone. I eventually went downstairs myself to ask for help. I requested a bottle of water and was told they didn’t have any. The receptionist explained that all the shops were closed and that the hotel had no bottled water available. In a city at this altitude, where guests can easily become dehydrated or unwell, I find it completely unacceptable for a hotel not to have even basic mineral water available for emergencies. I also asked for plastic bags for someone who was vomiting and was again told “no,” with no attempt whatsoever to offer assistance or find a solution.

The rooms were unbearably cold. The temperature inside felt well below 10°C at night, yet the hotel charged an additional 20 soles per room, per night for a heater. Even with the heater, we had to sleep wearing fleeces and jackets because the room remained uncomfortable. On top of that, the heater made the air extremely dry. The air was so dry that several of us experienced nosebleeds during our stay, making it even more uncomfortable and difficult to sleep.

The breakfast was also very poor, with limited options and low-quality food. It was far below what we expected and certainly did not help improve our overall experience.

Overall, this was a terrible experience. Aside from the convenient location, there was very little to recommend. The staff were unhelpful, the rooms were freezing, the breakfast was poor, and the level of hospitality was far below what should be expected. I would not recommend staying here.

Nettes zentrales Hotel mitten im historischen Zentrum, tolle Dachterrasse, unterschiedliche Zimmer, auf Nachfrage bekam ich eines mit Ausblick. Gutes Frühstück, Zugang zu Heißwasser und Tee 24h, sehr nettes Personal. Gleich um die Ecke zur Plaza de Armas.
Viel laute Musik,

Zu laute Musik, sowohl durch Disco nebenan als auch im Frühstücksraum. Mehr Varietät bei Früchten, es gab immer nur 1 Sorte Obst.

Me sentí en familia 🫶
Pros:

Me sentí muy a gusto en mi estancia en el hotel. La habitación es súper cómoda y el balcón que da a la calle fue idóneo para tomarnos nuestro té de coca y té de muña todas las mañanas. La Sra Elizabeth es un amor!!! No solo nos cocinó unas delicias, sino que nos ayudó y recomendó que hacer en la ciudad, mercados y cuidados de salud.
La próxima vez que regrese a Cusco en definitiva repetiremos esta experiencia en el hotel. Un cálido saludo desde Colombia🫶

Central city stay with 4 teenagers - awesome location!
Pros:

Thanks for a lovely stay. We had the breakfast buffet to ourselves. Water to drink would have been nice, but eggs made to order with some buns provided and papaya. Basic but lovely. We had 2 rooms with 4 teenagers in our family. Lots of space and beds. Many thanks for the laundry service. The hotel organised a big bag of washing (post Inca trail) for very cheap.
