Lovely service but very, very poor rooms The mini bar has only drinks nothing to eat whatsoever. The chair of the desk was from some designer but it would send you to the chiropractor after ann hour at the desk working and the bathroom just OK. A five star hotel should be about this.

This property has a family feel to it with the entire staff extremely friendly and welcoming from check-in, to breakfast, to questions, to check-out. I did not meet the owner, Paolo, but I'd like to say the team is doing an amazing job and operates as if they own the business. Room wise, very thoughtful with all the details put into anticipating what you might need. This hotel is not a massive Hilton, Marriott, (I'm a member of both), etc., property, but it is a small, safe, and clean option available in Palermo. I'd also like to give a shout out to Delta Airlines whose program recommended this hotel.

Stayed here recently in two different rooms. The first would merit a 3 star at best, was quite musty smelling, and quite basic.
The second was much better, with one of the best showers we’ve ever had - multi adjustable.
The staff at reception and breakfast were outstanding, and the breakfast was quite varied and of excellent quality - but for the coffee machine - probably worst coffee in Italy which was sad. Tea was fine. Room Included a kettle which was appreciated, as well as a mini bar fridge and water bottles - both still and sparkling which were refreshed daily - much appreciated.
Location is excellent, close to sights, and we were given a map on check in coupled with a helpful explanation of what to see.
Close to bus to train station and not too far from airport bus (though a bit hard to find stop).
The mattress was on a firm metal platform which projected some 15-20 cm, and which was a hazard to the shins.
Overall, depends on the room, some are a compromise on quality for a good Price and location, others make it an unquestioned recommendation to return - would be excellent if more even room quality.
We had an excellent stay at the Alma Hotel .Everything was perfect. Great convenient location , restaurants nearby , walkable to everything. Room was large , bathroom was large clean and modern . Breakfast was also excellent.The staff was extremely friendly and helpful .If I ever come back to Palermo I would stay at the Alma .
