The design of the hotel is really stylish
Expensive, but so is everything in Basel
Im Zimmer wurde eine Wickelfisch-Tasche bereitgestellt. Erforderlich für das Schwimmen im Rhein. Eine sehr populäre Sache im Basel
Es gab Obst, Wasser und Kaffee in der Etagenküche.
Keine Klimaanlage im Zimmer. Das Dyson- Gebläse war nur ein schlechter Ersatz aber besser als nichts.
Everything was perfect. We stayed for two nights and absolutely loved the comfortable beds and pillows. The hotel smelled lovely and fresh throughout, and the room was clean and quiet (our room did not face the main road). Although the room is small, it is very well laid out and practical, with enough space for luggage.
The location is excellent — just a few minutes’ walk from the Kunstmuseum and very central for everything else. There’s also a supermarket Migros only five minutes away. We were able to borrow bags for the Rhine swim/float, which was a thoughtful touch, and the bathroom products from L’Occitane are excellent.
There is a small gym.
And a sauna which needs to be booked ahead.
Good to know:
We stayed during a heat wave and the air conditioning struggled to keep up, but the fan in the room was very helpful.
There is no fridge, coffee, or tea facilities in the individual rooms. However, there is a communal area on the floor that provides coffee, tea, and water.

立地が最高なのと、部屋が清潔なのはもちろんですが、今回は夏の滞在でしたのでライン川を泳ぐための防水バッグが部屋に常備されていたのがよかったです。3泊4日滞在して毎日泳ぎに行きました。
Nomad is a beautiful, cosy, high-end hotel, perfectly located for endeavors all over town. The rooms are spacious and feel like a cocoon at the same time :-). We especially appreciated the friendliness of hotel staff and the flexibility with check-in and check-out as well as the parking space. There is also a coffee and tea station on every floor, so that you can stay energised whenever you want :-).

The location was very good. Close to the Old Town, Museums and train station. The staff were very friendly. We loved the Library Club. The shower was very nice.
It was very expensive for what you get. I paid for the Design Premium Room but the next morning we had a leaky sink in the bathroom that poured onto the floor. They moved us to another room which was much smaller and said they had no other rooms left. They did give us vouchers for 4 appetizers and 2 free breakfasts in their restaurant to compensate-which was nice. The room was very hot and they only had a portable fan to cool it down and you could hear the noise from the restaurant until late. It was definitely not worth the $300/night price though.
I generally liked the design of the hotel, the gym, the restaurant and the room. The mattress and the pillows were good as well. Some amenities, like a cold water fountain and a coffee machine were appreciated.
Ultimately the lack of AC and any kind of ventilation during this heat wave in Basel. The fact that the window cannot even properly opened means it's practically impossible to refresh the air in the room. This is very unhygienic. The room was surprised cooler than you would expect during these days, maybe because it was not directly hit by sunlight. However the temperature was still higher than my liking. This was not a value for money experience for sure.
