Pros:

Air con unit in room was greatly appreciated

Cons:

Our only niggle was £20 per dog ( we had 2 with us) for a one night stay felt a bit steep

Staff were so lovely. Breakfast welll worth it.

A nice convenient hotel attached to a comfy pub and restaurant.
Pros:

A good handy hotel attached to an old pub with a nice bar and restaurant. I have stayed at the Devon Hotel many times.

Cons:

A lovely hotel
Pros:

We were in the area visington family before traveling onto Cornwall. We were made very welcome and the restaurant was excellent with a lovely breakfast and our evening meal was superb

Cons:

Very noisy residents, the walls are very thin and we could hear conversations next door and a lot of banging above….would pay you to have some Insulation

Great hotel in useful location, with excellent food and good off-road parking
Pros:

The Devon Hotel is in a very good location, close to the M5, A30 and A38, for easy access to sites in the area, as well as the Park and Ride bus into Exeter, which is a 5 minute walk away. The hotel is modern, with excellent off-road parking and air-conditioned bedrooms, which was a real bonus. The staff are all very friendly, courteous and attentive, without rushing and the food is excellent. It is beautifully cooked, full of flavour and generous in portion size, so really good value for the quality.

Cons:

Unfortunately, although our room was very clean and beautifully presented, we discovered that there was an ants nest in the bathroom, behind the bath panel, from which there were very small ants emerging, as well as much larger flying ants. We managed to contain the situation for the 4 days of our stay, as the bathroom was dark and the ants only seemed to emerge when the light was on, and also by pushing wet serviettes in the gap between the panel and the floor. The reception staff were most apologetic, when we informed them about it on checking out, and we're going to ask the pest control people to sort it out immediately, which was reassuring.
