The Leather wall at back of bed is dusty!
The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. The three options did NOT meet our needs and it was not anything to write home about. What about a healthy breakfast? We ended up eating at the corner McDonald's which we NEVER eat at in the US. At least I could have plain scrambled eggs and a decent decaf cappuccino.
No decaf coffee in the machine in the lobby. In fact, the majority of the choices were not available. The decaf coffee in the breakfast area was not good.
1) Excellent location near the train station. made life easy - especially for tour pickups were near the station (tour is for Leaning tower of Pisa, Cinque Terre)
2) Courteous staff.
3) friendly amenities - special mention of clean drinking water dispenser.

Stayed at Mercure Florence with my family. They had upgraded my room to a room with balcony which offered a lot of open space.
The room was extremely spacious equipped with modern amenities. The balcony was huge which was a welcome change from the compact European Hotels.
The hotel is almost opposite the train station. No cabs required for travelling to and from the station. Bus stations and tram stations are also quite closeby hence travelling anywhere from Mercure is quite convenient.
The key tourist places such as Dumon and the museums were at 10 min walking distance.
Breakfast could have been better. There was absolutely no hot food. Pan cakes and waffles were quite cold. That was the only drawback.

La camera si è rivelata molto stretta, al limite delle dimensioni minime, offrendo un livello di comfort decisamente ridotto a prescindere dalla tipologia scelta. Mancanza di cura nei dettagli e nell'accoglienza. All'arrivo non era presente alcuna linea cortesia (amenities) se non due bottiglie d'acqua. La scelta ecologica dei dispenser a muro è comprensibile, ma trovarli sia in bagno che nella doccia praticamente vuoti è inaccettabile: ho dovuto chiedere esplicitamente al personale di venire a riempirli per poter fare una doccia e lavare le mani.
Un hotel a 4 stelle dovrebbe fare del controllo qualità e dell'attenzione all'ospite il proprio punto di forza soprattutto paragonandolo al prezzo pagato.
Ótima localização, atendimento muito agradável e empático. Quarto agradável, limpo, arejado e com saída para um pátio arejado.
