Great hotel for families.
Pros:

I stayed in July 12th and had an amazing visit thanks to the gentleman who checked me in. Didn’t catch his name unfortunately, but he was kind, attentive, and informative of the area around us. We will return soon to this property. Thanks again SpringHill! The gentleman is truly an asset. Also the breakfast lady that morning was busy but kept a smile on her face and kept the breakfast stocked and replenished. Great team.

Disgusted
Pros:

We had a late checkin so arrived in the late evening. When we got to the ot room was in a little disarray meaning, the couch bed was pulled out and cousin on the side and microwave door open, at first I thought maybe they had double booked the room so I had my children stay outside while I looked in. There was no one in the room just the disarray, ot was very late and we were tires so just went in as everything aside of that seemed fine. After we settled my children got into their beds and I got into mine only to find at my both horror and disgust that my bed was filthy, not a little soiled filthy with yellow stains and makeup. I called the front desk and they sent someone up to change the bedding...How does this happen? At first I thought maybe they didnt finish cleaning the room because of the disarray, but the bed was fully made. I'm not sure if this is more or less disturbing then when I got into the bed, which was coincidentally also at a Springhill suites in Savannah and there was a sock in the bed. To add to that I am pretty sure both of my children got food poisoning from the eggs as that is the only thing they ate in common the entire trip. DO BETTER!

The stay was great but breakfast needs to improve.
Pros:

The hotel is very nice. It was clean and the cleaning staff & front desk staff were amazing. Thank you for an awesome stay.

Cons:

I wanted a pool size room And thought I reserved that but, I was given a room on the 2nd floor. It was still a nice room.

The second thing was breakfast. It was not okay. No pancakes, waffles or French toast for the kids. The bacon was not all the way cooked and there were only one type of muffin.

Distressing
Pros:

Great location close to Universal Studios and Hollywood walk of fame. Rooms were clean and spacious.

Cons:

Very noisy, windows do nothing to block road noise, aircon units are on the floor so can hear a constant humming from rooms above. I prepaid for the room and was charged again on arrival. No one told us they were charging us the full room rate just asked us for a card to put on file which we assumed was for incidentals. Queried this with the reception staff and provided proof that we had paid and they insisted we needed to sort it with booking.com. Upon speaking with booking.com they said the money is there and the hotel need to request it. This was verified by a hotel manager who apologised an hour before we checked out for their error after us chasing for 2 nights. Last 2 days of our holiday in the US and had £650 frozen in our account, not ideal!
On the morning of check out we thought breakfast ended at 9:30, not 9. Admittedly our error but no one informed us of the breakfast times at check in so we looked online and google incorrectly told us 9:30. Whilst I appreciate this is our error I think it is disgusting that the hotel wouldn’t even offer our 3 young children (4, 6 and 8 years old) even a piece of fruit. When we explained to the reception staff that we got the time wrong and that we were travelling back to the UK today (10 hour flight) and what could we do with breakfast for the children (didn’t even want anything for ourselves just the kids) the lady SHRUGGED and said there’s nothing she can do breakfast is closed. I have never been to any hospitality venue that has refused young children some food for the sake of 10 minutes, I understand no hot food but fruit and cereal was just sitting there on the other side of the door.

Very disappointed overall with our experience which is a shame as the room itself was lovely and the hotel is clean and in a great location. The manager who we finally spoke to who sorted the billing error and apologised for the mistake was lovely, but the rest of the reception staff were unhelpful and left us to sort everything.
