The location was exactly what was required for our next day cruise at Tilbury Docks
The steak at the pub was over priced and tasteless - the veg was delicious. On being shown to our suite (Anne Boleyn Suite) it was freezing cold. There were big cobwebs hanging, the rug was curled from damage and a trip hazard, the bed was not part of the beautiful head board and it moved all the time. The sofa at the bottom stopped it rolling away. The bathroom was modern and clean but attention to detail to the grime in the corners would make a difference. Breakfast at the little cafe was delicious. The little village was beautiful.
Super accommodating staff helped us get into our rooms early so we could get ready for a wedding.

The lady greeted my boyfriend who checked us in and kindly upgraded us. We stayed over night for a wedding and it was perfect. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Great value for money and staff were nice at breakfast. Thank you :)

Nice room in chalet style block, surprisingly roomy. Breakfast was good with great staff.
Firstly the receptionist was fantastic. So friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. A real personal touch. The room was fabulous. We’ve stayed in many hotels and it was a refreshing change to have The Bell get the basics right in our opinion. Decent sized towels. Decent mugs for tea and a proper kettle, and a dressing table in the right place that allows you to sit in front of a mirror and plug the hairdryer in! Simple things, but common sense and so important in our opinion.

The room was large and beautiful. The bar and restaurant are excellent.
The bathroom was simply a bath with no curtains so quite impractical to shower without making a big mess.
