Pros:

luxe, calme et volupté.. bon pour le calme, il y a un peu de musique sur la place en début de soirée, mais ça n'est pas gênant. emplacement idéal, petit déjeuner sur la terrasse inoubliables.

Nice hotel - but not easy to find some rest
Pros:

Great location, nice rooftop for a good breakfast. Friendly staff, rooms were nicely arranged, good amenities.

Cons:

This hotel has one huge problem. The rooms at the "inner yard" (which is in fact more of small confined space in between the building) all have their windows towards the inner yards which leads also directly to the rooftop.
Meaning: you hear everything. Marriage discussions, calls to home. Drunken people passing their time at night on the roof top, couples enjoying their intimacy together.
In this melange it needs some resistance to sleep, which was unfortunately not possible for us.

The hotel offered us a discount for a future booking as compensation, but as we are coming from Europe, this is unfortunately of no practical use for us.

L'unica cosa decente di questa struttura è la terrazza e la comodità dei letti

Partiamo dal presupposto che non è un vero 4 stelle. Per dire le camere non hanno finestre apribili e non c'è aria condizionata. L'aria pertanto diventa veramente irrespirabile, sembra di stare in una sauna.

La prima stanza in cui ci hanno messo confinava con l'area del personale e sotto la cucina e dava su delle scale. Praticamente si sentivano tutti i rumori possibili. Abbiamo chiesto di cambiarla e si sono rifiutati in quanto dicevano che non c'erano altre camere libere. Quando però gli abbiamo fatto notare che su booking c'era almeno un'altra camera e che avremmo fatto reclamo, ci hanno concesso il cambiamento. L'altra camera sicuramente meglio ma aveva dentro una porta apribile con dentro una sorta di magazzino. Mai vista una cosa del genere.

La colazione, già sapevamo dalle recensioni che era da migliorare, ma veramente terribile a parte le uova su cui forse è difficile sbagliare.

Visto il prezzo, andate altrove

A wonderful weekend in a great hotel with a spectacular view at breakfast.
Pros:

The interior room had a large sliding glass door that opened to a light well. It was an ingenious invention of frosted glass panes that kept privacy but allowed in maximum natural light. I have never encountered anything as clever and well executed. Bravo!

Cons:

Please consider utilizing a lidded trash can in the bathroom.

Toller Aufenthalt im Zentrum von Arequipa
Pros:

Die Lage ist traumhaft an der Plaza de Armas mit Blick von der Dachterrasse auf Kathedrale und Vulkane. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Zum Geburtstag gab es Kuchen und Gesang vom Personal, das war eine tolle Überraschung. Hervorragendes Frühstück. Transfer vom Flughafen hat gut geklappt.
Kann man nur empfehlen.

Cons:

Es gibt nur das Lokal auf der Dachterrasse, das bei den geringen Temperaturen sehr zeitig schließt.

O melhor hotel de Arequipa, não há outro igual da região.
Pros:

Estadia incrível, eu analiso muito bem toda estadia antes de fechar, e sem dúvidas, o Katari Hotel atendeu demais minhas expectativas! Café da manhã na medida, atendimento impecável de todos os atendentes do hotel e o quarto, um dos melhores da região de Arequipa.

Sem contar da localização, a MELHOR VISTA para o principal ponto da cidade, a Plaza de Armas de Arequipa. Vale cada centavo o booking com eles. Nada a reclamar da estadia e foram super atenciosos em guardar minhas malas para visitar a cidade tanto antes do check-in quanto depois do check-out.

The rooftop bar was amazing (although open to non-residents in the evening). Staff were professional and room nicely decorated and laid out.

Cons:

As mentioned by others, external windows are lacking. Ours opened onto a stairwell (albeit with pot plants and an opening to fresh air above). We saw the room facing onto the square with visibility only at head level and another that looked to open onto a light well. Having said that, our room wasn't stuffy (we had the door to the stairwell open at night) and was very quiet.

Pros:

The location, the room we had a suite overlooking the Plaza de Armas (perhaps optimistically named the Presidential suite but a very nice change from the standard room.

The terrace facing the Cathedral with Vulcan Misti behind it is a must as the sun goes down. Best Pisco Sours and their Trilogy of Ceviche (white fish, octopus and trucha) take top marks!!!
