Pros:

I had a very upsetting experience at this hotel.

I made the booking very late at night because I was exhausted and wanted to avoid driving any further. Shortly after briefly checking in and entering the room, I realised I had an unexpected period-related issue and my clothing had become stained. I urgently needed to wash my clothes.

When I went downstairs to ask about laundry, I was told I would need cash or coins, and I also realised I would need to go out again to buy some basic essentials. At that point, I felt overwhelmed and very distressed, because the stay was no longer practical for me that night.

I spoke with reception before leaving. My understanding at the time was that I could cancel without charge, but because the booking had been made through Booking.com, I would need to submit the request through Booking.com and the hotel would then respond to it. I was under the impression that the refund would be approved the next day.

However, the next day, I was told that the first night’s charge would still stand because I had already completed check-in. I understand this may have been due to internal management or approval processes, but the communication at the time was very unclear to me. If I had known this would be the final outcome, I would not have left the hotel.

I only used the room for a very short time, did not stay overnight, and I was not trying to take advantage of the hotel. I left because I genuinely felt the stay could not meet my basic practical needs that night. After leaving, I had to drive more than one hour back to my residence, and there was also an accident on the motorway, which delayed me by another hour.

That said, I do want to thank the female staff member at reception that night who kindly gave me a tampon. I appreciated that help during a very stressful and embarrassing moment.

Cons:

Overall, I left feeling sad, embarrassed, and unsupported. I wish the communication had been clearer at the time, especially because I was already in a difficult personal situation.

Pros:

Great property and it is close to a lot of Asian restaurants. The property also has a restaurant, bar & pool table area, and bowling in the same building.
