Centralized and close to downtown and the playhouse. Additionally really great room
A little hard to get your bearings on the room location
The Meadowmere is a consistently wonderful place to stay in Ogunquit, It is walking distance to the Ogunquit Playhouse and had ample parking. The rooms were recently renovated and were clean and comfortable. The best part of our stay was the wonderful staff. Upon arrival, Deveen checked us in and was professional and welcoming. When I told her that we wanted to leave a gift in the room for another couple we were traveling with, she told Patrick who took care of it for us with joy. We felt so welcome and they were both so kind. The next day at breakfast, Rodre did an excellent job taking care of the tables. I highly recommend staying at Meadowmere!
We had a great time at the Meadowmere! It's about a ten minute walk into either Ogunquit or Perkins Cove, which worked out perfectly as a means to walk off a big meal. Our room at Meadowmere was clean, with a nice sized bathroom. We were up for a family wedding, so appreciated the space for visiting, both inside by the fire place during the rain, and outside at night by the fire pit. We didn't take advantage of the indoor pool or hot tub, but many of those staying at the hotel did, and it seemed to be a favorite activity for those with young kids. We were only there for two nights, and ate at the Pub for breakfast one morning ($9.00 buffet - can't beat it!). The Pub was closed on Monday morning, so we grabbed from the free continental breakfast and did just fine! I especially enjoyed their selection of teas - Hot Cinnamon Spice was delicious! And the staff was so nice and helpful. Patrice was great - she's such a good person!
Meadowmere is a great family spot! Use the pool, hang together and burn off a few calories on the walk back and forth to the many stores and restaurants in the area!
The location is good with a short walk to town. The facilities are nice and staff super friendly as is everyone in Maine. We had a corner room in the charter building. Room was spacious with a king size bed and a gas fireplace.
The resort is doing some upgrades, which is great. One upgrade is the TV, however our TV wasn't working. We called down to the front desk. They said they would send someone to look at it. It didn't get resolved.
I was moved to a completely different hotel due to renovations on the room I selected. The new hotel did not offer the same amenities or the same style room but I was still charged the full price.
Friendly staff
Great location
To begin, we have stayed at the Meadowmere a dozen or more times and have always been quite pleased. This time, a few differences...
HAPPY with the online check in which is meant to save time upon arrive.
UNHAPPY that I waited I a long line only to be told "just grab the envelope with your reservation number and go" They should tell you this during the online check in process.
HAPPY they asked what part of the hotel I preferred to say in. We ALWAYS stay in South Meadow on the ground floor and I noted this as such.
UNHAPPY they put us in the Clover section on the 2nd floor. When I pointed this out to the front desk, she told me "Sir, it's all just one big resort." Not a good answer. UNHAPPY the front dest staff is not welcoming, no smiles, nothing.
HAPPY to see the renovations and updates to carpeting, paint, wallpaper. And the furnishings in the room are quite lovely!
UNHAPPY the bed platform is too big for the size of the mattress causing an awkward step in and out of bed. Mobility-impaired guests beware. UNHAPPY with the AC which is new and the noisiest one I have ever encountered. UNHAPPY the new flat screen TV has no instructions. We are tech savvy and could not figure out how to watch TV. There are many premium channels but one must login with their own account and password.. We heard other guests complain about the lack of TV instruction or some who could not get it to turn on at all.
HAPPY the bathroom is finally lit!!!
UNHAPPY the toilet ran constantly adding to the noise.
There's my rant. There are perks to staying here, it is a lovely place and very well kept. Two pools, roman spa, easy walk to town, beach or playhouse. Beds and linens comfy, towels thick and thirsty.
Room was comfortable , but air conditioner was loud due too where it was placed in room and tv remote was a challenge but would still stay again
Tv remote challenging if not an electronic engineer , plus no directions didn't help
My partner and I make Meadowmere our monthly tradition for a staycation to take a break from the busyness of life. Each time we’ve gone, we’ve been met with smiles and a welcoming environment. We look forward to more stays at Meadowmere!
The thought of coming up here getting into the salt Spa pool then going out to the hot tub sitting and enjoying a beer. However you were shut down for renovations! I was transferred to the Anchorage Inn which is not the same qualifications as the Meadowmere is such a different class of Resort it was very disappointing the staff here at the Anchorage was rude was unprofessional condescending to my disabilities and my sisters disabilities. They put us on a second floor I'm not even going to explain that cuz you should figure it out yourself
Another fantastic stay at The Meadowmere! We stayed in the Presidential Suite-what a perfect room. A sitting room with fireplace, comfortable bedroom, balcony with chairs overlooking the central lawn area and large, lovely bathroom with jacuzzi. What more could you ask for? Just what we needed to relax and unwind.
The hotel is undergoing renovations (which didn’t affect our stay at all) and we can’t wait to see the changes next time we visit! I can’t imagine how it could get any better!
Great amenities, nice room, shower head gave the best shower. I asked the brand but staff wasn’t sure. I’d really like to buy one for home. Awesome Staff! Hunter at the front desk was amazing. Treated us like family our entire stay. Can walk to shops, restaurants and marginal way all from the resort!
Not one thing was bad about this place!
Convince of location
Under going renovations
Everything was wonderful
nothing
Needed lights over mirror near bed area
They were doing major construction on the property and did not let people know when booking literally 90% of the property is under construction
Was not aware of construction bad signage throughout the property where you could go under construction where you could not enter try to take the kids to the game room. The stairway was closed blocked by construction workers.
Great relaxing stay. Resort
Is undergoing some renovations, but they did not effect our stay at all
