AC was much required and had best sleep on whole trip. Quiet over night but right in middle of old town. Complimentary drinks and extremely friendly staff

We endured a bad hot spell in Zurich during our stay. Lake Zurich was great.
Pros:

Historic Room 407 was excellent, but our first night was in Room 101. This room was cramped and had no view of the city and the shower had no door, which caused a very wet floor. Location in the old town was very good. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly.

Cons:

Breakfast was marginal at best. Scrambled eggs were runny and looked unappetizing. Croissants were excellent. Cappuccinos were also good. The breakfast buffet was way overpriced at almost $50 for two guests. Marginal A/C in the lobby and hallways. Room A/C was very good.

Good location and a lovely stay
Pros:

Wonderful location. The room is modern & well decorated in a historical hotel. The welcome drink at time of check-in was a great way to ease our stress after arriving from a distance. The welcome drink offered from the bar was a bonus. The staffs were friendly & professional. The hotel was updated tastefully without losing historical hotel's charm.
