The location was amazing. The room was large.
The breakfast was not run efficiently. Everyday there was something not there - no clean cups, run out of hot water to make a cup of tea. No teapots, no bananas, no fruit juice.
The choice for gluten free was also quite limited.
The location was the best. It had a nice view. It was clean and the staff were very friendly
The whole hotel has been refurbished and is fantastically clean with modern styles, the service was great, the views from the balcony are breathtaking
Nothing what so ever, will definitely recommend and I will be returning
outside view
5 rooms with the same view, 2 with bathtub and 3 without. I booked this hotel for the bathtub, but it was not assigned upon check-in, and I was not informed in advance. Hard to find a clear description during booking.
Right on the beach
Service like the uk 50 years ago, a bit sloppy. Breakfast very poor (everything overcooked, poor selection, and when we turned up there were no cups, spoons, juice, etc). One toilet role, which ran out. Room was good however. The Rock restaurant good in the evening.
Breakfast was ample
everything was absoultley fine so nothing to complain about
We had an amazing time at the Albion during our round the island coastal walk. They were happy to let us leave bags in reception when we walked up to the Needles and nothing was too much trouble. Heather was extremely helpful and made sure we had a room with a beautiful view. She also gave us a list of taxis when we set off early on our walk to avoid the heat. The staff at the Rock restaurant were equally lovely and kindly rescheduled our meal time when requested. Can’t recommend the hotel enough for a bit of island luxury with amazing views!
We loved it all!
Views stunning
Meal in resturant excellent
Staff lovely ...Shelly the waitress was an absolute credit to the establishment .
Nothing
Bar and restaurant, location, helpful staff and amazing comfy bed!!
Nothing!
Modern & liked being near the sea
Would have preferred some more wardrobe space
Hooks for coats would have been good
All staff were attentive and friendly. Food was delicious!
We stayed in an accessible room which was great, however the bed was very high and the toilet extremely low, so it made life difficult as someone with mobility issues.
It was what I expected. Friendly staff, great location and facilities.
Unfortunately there was a drain problem which meant the bathroom was almost a no go area due to the smell.
Restaurant was promising, but the portions were rather mean. The quality and presentation though was very good and the staff proactive on an issue raised.
Decor very stylish modern but homely, very comfortable mattress and pillows generous sized rooms and bathroom, stunning sun terrance great views! Breakfast delicious. We also had dinner and drinks great food! Nice wine also. Staff friendly.
It’s not that I didn’t like it as I do love whispering angel but this being the cheapest rose wine at £55 per bottle or £13 medium glass shame there’s not something a little less.
This hotel was fine. Room was comfortable.
It was needlessly expensive. At £255 a night I would expect more facilities like at least a swimming pool. The restaurant also was very expensive with no option for just a bar meal if wanted. It was the only place to stay on our walk around the coastal path. I wouldn't stay there again.
Fabulous location
Such friendly accommodating staff
Food and drink perfect 👌
Nothing to dislike
Breakfast served overlooking freshwater bay and staff were very attentive
The dinner in the Rock restaurant was superb but let down by the sommelier! Whilst I appreciate having someone available to help and advise with wines might be useful our dinning experience was let down in this regard. The wine we had ordered (Albarinho) was left on a tray on the bar getting warm, whilst the sommelier decide to deliver the red wine next to it to another table. Our Albarinho sat on the bar getting warmer…..
When the sommelier returned and delivered us our wine, we had waited 15 minutes! He opened the wine with difficulty, poured us a little in our glass and then left the bottle on the table and walked away, I had to stop him to ask for a wine cooler.
The waiters/waitresses could have brought the wine directly to us as they knew what they were doing and made the experience better for all!.
Is this extra theatrical joker necessary or can the ‘rock restaurant’ encourage their waiting staff
