The White Barn Inn & Spa, Auberge Collection

We had a wonderful time at the White Barn Inn. The rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. The bathrooms are well equipped. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food at both White Barn and Little Barn is incredible! After dinner sitting outside around the fire pit was a lovely addition! The hotel is conveniently located near the beach and town where there are restaurants and shopping. The Inn also puts Mercedes cars at your disposal to go anywhere else. Check in and out was a breeze.

We loved this place so much that we booked our return trip even before we checked out. Impeccable service, yummy food, breakfast was our favorite. The nicest staff, clean rooms, luxurious linens, great location. We loved having our coffee delivered in the morning. Spa is small, but so charming and the therapists are very professional. This is the perfect location to set up camp and explore Kennebunk. It is well worth the price tag. So looking forward to our return and strolling down to the beach. This was our first time staying at an Auberge property and it did not disappoint. Thank you to the exceptional team who made our stay so lovely and memorable. Hardest working young men in the valet area who also carry luggage up the stairs (no elevator at the hotel). I have to say Inns make me nervous because they can be hit or miss, but this property does it all really well, rustic, new england decor and style that is modern, luxurious, and execution done well.

We had a charmingly imperfect stay, and it is a testament to White Barn, and the reason we will go back, that they recognize imperfection(a structural matter that came on quickly and impacted guests’ access to part of the property) and try and make it right. Staff was great and present, and intentional about doing their all for guests. Restaurant great, service impeccable.

We had a great time here! The location of the property is perfect. You're not "right downtown", but you're a really quick bike ride or free ride in a hotel Mercedes away. We liked this much better as it felt secluded, but also so close to where you wanted to be. There is an awesome beach not far from here as well... I'd recommend this for couples and friends all day long. Families as well, but realize it's a smaller property (not in a bad way!). A very nice quaint pool as well....! (Service is a 10/10. Really good)

We stayed in the loft and it honestly was a gorgeous room. This hotel is very stunning. Like all Auberge properties the decor is phenomenal and inspiring. Location was great for walk ability to Dock Square and the beach. We drove every where else. White barn restaurant is delicious so make sure to eat there for a special dinner! We also loved eating breakfast at Little Barn every morning.
The only negative we had regarding the room is that you are above the restaurant. Therefore the base from the music comes through since you are in an old building. We had to complain a few times but staff always lowered it and were very understanding. It seems to get quiet by 11:00pm til 7:30 am. Other than that tiny issue, I think this is the best room on the property besides the cottages and houseboats. The bathroom is huge, there’s a private patio, fireplace and your own entrance ! I would stay there again.

White Barn Inn was truly an amazing place to spend my boyfriend’s 21st birthday. Everyone on the team made it a point to wish him happy birthday and make our trip special and one of a kind. The food at the Little Barn was delicious we had the lobster rolls, our in room breakfast was also phenomenal. The property is located in a quiet neighborhood in Kennebunk and the beach is a 8 minute walk down the road, we felt safe while walking to the beach at 12:30 at night. It feels like something out of a movie honestly and i cant wait to come back maybe with family next time!

Lovely hotel with exemplary, personalized service. It’s just expensive. Location is very close to a road that can be moderately busy. It can be noisy.

The staff goes above and beyond to meet every need. There never seems to be a “no” when it comes to helping guests, and their level of service is truly exceptional. They are incredibly knowledgeable about the town, making recommendations and planning activities effortless.

We traveled with our 15-month-old daughter, and the staff made the entire experience easy and stress-free. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate families made our stay even more enjoyable. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this property to others.

My wife Carolina and I were married at the White Barn Inn in June, and we could not have been happier with our experience.

From the time we arrived, we felt welcomed and well cared for. The property is beautiful, with a relaxed elegance that made it a wonderful setting for our wedding weekend. Our room was comfortable and well appointed, and the grounds were meticulously maintained.

A special thank you goes to Grace McGovern, who helped coordinate our wedding. Throughout the planning process and during the weekend itself, Grace was organized, responsive, and incredibly helpful. She handled countless details behind the scenes, allowing us to focus on enjoying time with our family and friends.

What stood out most was the staff. Everyone we encountered—from the front desk and concierge team to the servers, bartenders, and banquet staff—was friendly, professional, and genuinely interested in making sure our guests had a great experience. Many of our guests commented on how attentive and welcoming the team was throughout the weekend.

The food was another highlight. We received numerous compliments from our guests about both the quality of the meal and the presentation. Several family members told us it was among the best food they had experienced at a wedding.

Wedding weekends can be stressful, but the team at White Barn Inn made everything feel easy. The event ran smoothly, our guests were well taken care of, and Carolina and I were able to enjoy every moment of our celebration.

We are grateful to Grace and the entire White Barn Inn team for helping make our wedding such a memorable occasion. We look forward to returning in the future and would gladly recommend the property to anyone considering a wedding, special event, or a getaway in Kennebunk.

We loved our stay at the White Barn Inn. Our room was beautiful, loved the fireplace and all the special amenities. One of our favorites was the coffee service in the morning.
The staff was amazing ! Dinner at White Barn restaurant was outstanding and in a beautiful setting. The location is perfect for walking to the beach or town. We highly recommend staying here when visiting Kennebunkport.

The staff was excellent

It was up and down. The ups were very high and the downs were head scratching. With so many positives if they could just execute the basics it would have been a very special experience.

The staff was great. All were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was not ready on time and we lost AC during our visit. The staff made it right without asking but these are basic things that should just work.

The White Barn Inn is a lovely property, and the White Barn restaurant is one of the top meals we have ever had. The whole experience was unbelievable and a lovely stay for our first time in Kennebunk and in Maine. The team was incredibly responsive to us on all of our needs. While our stay had some issues, the way Auberge brand and the team at the White Barn resolved our issues and treated us was unlike anything I have ever experienced. This is what will keep us coming back to Auberge properties like this one again and again.

The Cora houseboat is truly a unique, restorative, romantic experience. We loved it. Well-stocked, including a bottle of champagne for our anniversary. Everyone on the staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfasts were delicious.

Location of the Inn was nice, close to town and Gooch Beach. I loved having the bikes available. It is expensive, but we went in May much cheaper.

My wife and I shared an incredible week at the White Barn Inn. I was skeptical about how small the property was but we ended up enjoying the intimate setting. The staff was incredible, exactly what you'd hope for. No detail was forgotten. The Mercedes program was a ton of fun to enjoy. You're close enough to Portland for a day trip and there are a ton of high quality restaurants in the area.
