Localização, atendimento funcionários, amenidades do quarto
Cama muito mole, não consegui dormir a noite. Geladeira que não gela, parece uma caixa térmica.
Excellent location, very clean, extremely helpful staff, great breakfast, A/C!, comfy bed
Room was a little small, bathroom functionality was weird— strange layout, no real privacy with the sliding glass door and could hear everything
The hotel is very well located between the train station and the center of Bern, and the staff is genuinely kind and professional. The room was practical and clean; breakfast was very nice. I would definitely go back. Great value for the location and service !
Festival in corso, rumore insopportabile fino a tarda notte.
Die Lage war wunderbar.
Die Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig. Die Fenster und der Sims war voll mit Taubebdreck. Das Zimmer wurde im Internet viel schöner dargestellt, als es in der Realität war!!!!
Convenient to the old town and a great pubic square with restaurants all around. Clean, comfortable beds, friendly helpful staff, good variety of food for breakfast.
It was a lovely hotel in a great location - only 5 minutes walk to the main train station. We stayed 3 nights and included breakfast for each day. Breakfast was excellent.
The staff was very helpful too. Very prompt and helpful.
The room was very pleasant, as was the bathroom. It was an excellent experience. I would stay there again.

We stayed four nights during a serious heat wave, and I was pleasantly surprised by how consistently comfortable our room stayed — not blasting American-style icy A/C, but genuinely cool and easy to sleep even on a higher floor. We kept the shade closed during the day to help avoid the sun warming the room more, and a quick cool shower made us very comfortable. The balcony was a delight, too; once the evening cooled off, we'd set up a little cheese and wine situation out there and just take in the city.
Let's start with location, because it's exceptional: in the heart of everything, yet less than a five-minute walk from the train station, and easy access to public transportation that takes you anywhere in the region.
We used this hotel as a true base of operations — and we packed in a lot.
One day we ventured out to Gruyères for the castle and cheese, then continued on to Maison Cailler for chocolate. The next day brought us to Oberhofen Castle, then the St. Beatus Caves, a quick swim in Lake Thun, a boat ride into Interlaken where we wandered around before catching the train back to Bern. We also made time for the botanical garden. But the absolute highlight of the entire trip? Taking the bus up the river to Ka-We-De, walking along the riverbank to a camping area and beach where locals were slipping into the current and floating downstream, dry bags doubling as flotation devices for their belongings. We'd read about it in advance and came prepared with our own, though there were spots along the way to pick one up if you didn't. It was truly one of those experiences you can't manufacture — just joyful and real and completely unforgettable.
Back at the hotel, the staff made the stay. Every single morning, someone happily grabbed ice so I could make my latte iced — no eye rolls, no hesitation. I also made a cappuccino one day and it was also quite excellent. When we mentioned we had Maison Cailler chocolates we didn't want to melt on our train back to Zürich, the team offered to keep our ice pack in their freezer overnight without missing a beat. That's the kind of thoughtfulness that's hard to teach.
The hotel breakfast deserves its own paragraph. Eggs and sausages prepared in Le Creuset dishes, a gorgeous yogurt bar with muesli, an array of nuts, seeds, and dried fruit, and a bowl of berries sitting in their own juice — I drizzled honey over the whole thing and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the best hotel breakfast I have ever had.
I also loved their housekeeping incentive: skip daily service, earn one complimentary drink per guest. No pressure, no guilt — just a clever, guest-friendly approach to sustainability.
On our last evening we turned in our drink cards and ended up in a long, wonderful conversation with Costa, Bastian, and Ivana at the front desk. We talked about world travel and languages, how each of them learned what they know, and they were kind enough to let me practice my Spanish. Ivana holds the record for most languages spoken among them — all while quietly managing closing tasks without missing a word of the conversation.
Bern is one of my favorite cities in Europe, and this hotel is a big part of why. We hope to be back.
