SUCH a lovely and clean stay in the loveliest Cotswolds' town.
Pros:

The room was clean and well organized and well-stocked. The fixtures were new and in working condition. There was plenty of space for 2 people. Thankfully the windows opened with fresh air while still safe. We visited during the warm months and the fan was helpful. All staff were cheerful and attentive.

Cons:

Nothing the staff or hotel could adjust- it was just louder than necessary neighbors walking past.

Wonderful
Pros:

I really loved how the common spaces were curated, it felt extremely inviting and comfortable. The staff was fantastic and the back garden was just the cherry on top.

Cons:

Since it was warm, air-conditioning could have been helpful, but I understand it’s an old building.

Pros:

Greatest historical property decent restaurant fairly friendly staff

Cons:

Booking.com didn’t tell me it was an attic unit I wouldn’t have rented it if I knew that I would’ve rented one of their more expensive units on the second floor

Hotel lovely, shame there was the chaos and noise from the fair and running event outside the hotel
Pros:

Beautiful building and lovely staff. Evening meal was great. Room comfortable and very clean.

Cons:

Unfortunately there was a fair directly outside of the hotel and it was very noisy until the early hours of the morning, and then there was noise first thing in the morning from a running event! So didn’t get much sleep 🫩 We did have an email stating there was a fair, but were told there wouldn’t be any noise after 10pm, this was not the case! And no prior warning of the running event starting early the next morning. It also meant roads were closed and we had problems when trying to leave!!

Super location
Pros:

Stayed in one of the garden rooms that are right next to the outdoor terrace. Lovely well equipped room. Added bonus of car parking around the back of the hotel. Great location to explore Stow and Cotswolds.
