Beautiful room, and great location!
Nothing
If this is the 3rd best B&B/hotel in Nantucket, TripAdvisor needs to recalibrate its rating system.
It’s a charming place with centrally located and well equipped, comfortable rooms. It’s a bit sterile as a B&B, staffed by helpful but not very alert workers - there’s no friendly innkeeper giving you advice on the town. For example, we asked the front desk worker for ideas for a bike ride and beaches and all she had to offer was that we should scan the QR code in our room.
It shouldn’t even call itself a “breakfast”, breakfast is a minimal selections of some pastries one level up from a holiday inn and an occasional boiled egg (when they aren’t out). It starts at 830, and by 910, it seemed picked clean and even out of coffee. Like how hard is it to have someone scrambling eggs and making waffles?
They do have a make your own cocktail station which was sort of nice - though missing items like simple syrup for the “sweet” element of mixing cocktails.
The grounds are really charming - pretty patios, fire pits, and flowers everywhere. They have free bikes, beach towels, and beach chairs (but no umbrellas). With a lot of coaxing they did give us a street parking pass (otherwise don’t expect parking here).
At $200/night (or even $400 for the Nantucket factor), it would get a higher rating, but at these prices, deeply disappointed.
5 Star? No way.
The breakfast area was very nice and thoughtfully prepared. The staff communicated via text before our arrival and during our stay. The location was amazing—one block to shopping and two blocks to the city bus line for transportation around the island. The Inn was perfect!
Nothing — it was excellent
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location was great. The facility was clean and the bed was clean.
The bathroom was MUCH too small. We're very small people and could barely turn around in it. I don't know how a normal sized person could squeeze onto the toilet. The sink wasn't draining properly. We alerted staff on our first day, but it wasn't fixed. There was no closet and only one hook to hang clothes. Breakfast was OK but most of the items were sweet. It would have been nice to include fresh oranges and bananas.
Everything was excellent. The room was well designed and appointed. The lighting was terrific. The bathroom was well designed and easy to use. The bed linens were extraordinary. They put a lot of money into this place and it shows. Superb in every way.
The location was perfect. Loved the water & ice station. The staff was incredible. I had brought in some flowers in a vase and wanted to keep my vase and leave the flowers at your hotel. The staff took care of us. Also, they allowed us to keep our luggage there and use their facilities after we had checked out which was very convenient since our ferry was leaving late that evening. We even had access to charging stations for our cell phones. Then before we left the girl working the desk asked if we wanted to take some photos in front of the hotel which we loved and they turned out so beautiful. We will treasure them.
The only thing I can say negative was the leg space between the bathroom toilet and the wall was very tight. My husband is 6' 4" and had to sit sideways. I know this is a historic property and that probably could not have been helped. But otherwise great facility
The breakfast was perfect and the presentation was fantastic. Love the coffee bar. This is our second stay here at 76 Main and the property is gorgeous. Look forward to staying here very soon. Have stayed in many of the venues and this is by far my favorite. Thank you.
A very charming boutique hotel set in a historic house. It feels like being invited into someone’s home rather than staying in a hotel. The location is excellent
The breakfast was absolutely not up to standard. Supermarket muffins and just a few yogurts, more like what you would expect from a cheap motel, extremely disappointing.
The Inn was very nice, very clean well kept. We did not take advantage of the breakfast but saw many people enjoying it.
One of the rooms we were in was very small, no seating other than the bed, and the bathroom was very tight.
Great location, very accommodating staff, cute rooms
Very friendly and helpful staff ! Rooms were clean and it was great proximity to shops/restaurants.
The suite was adorable and exactly what we needed for a girls weekend away. Cozy back area with fire pit, convenient to downtown and all shopping and food.
Sehr nette Aufmerksamkeit zum Geburtstag
Kondom unter dem Bett, fehlende Gläser auf dem Zimmer, nur mittelmäßiges Standard Frühstück
