We would definitely recommend.
Pros:

Great location, set back & quiet but very close to the main streets.
Lovely spacious rooms, ours overlooked the lovely pool.
The staff were amazing, really helpful & friendly.

Fijne plek waar je je meteen thuis voelt.
Pros:

Ontzettend vriendelijk personeel., je voelt je enorm welkom. Man die de kamers onderhoudt maakt prachtige kunstwerken van de handdoeken. De jongen in het restaurant zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wij hadden een zeer ruime kamer. Je krijgt een handdoek mee voor het strand. Unawatuna heeft veel leuke winkels, restaurants en een fijn strand om te zwemmen en snorkelen(helemaal rechts).

Fabulous authentic hospitality and gorgeous venue to share with family and friends.
Pros:

The pool was beautiful and enjoyed by all family and friends staying. Breakfast was fabulous. Great variety of Sri Lankan and Western options. Tom secured some amazing tuna and had it cooked for our dinner. It was sensational.
Thilak was a fabolous driver - collecting us at midnight and driving us to Thambapanni. Sudath was there to welcome us at 3am with a genuine smile and warm welcome. Mr Anil was ever present in the wings to ensure we had whatever we needed for a wonderful stay. We will be recommending Thambapanni to friends and family.

Fantastisch 😍
Pros:

Onze kamer in het bijgebouw was super. Waarschijnlijk gerenoveerd. Het leek als nieuw. Het zwembad en de omliggende voorzieningen waren super. Goed restaurant erbij met leuke prijzen.
En dan het personeel, wat een schatten. Allemaal zo lief en behulpzaam.

Amazing hotel
Pros:

Amazing hotel - fantastic service and staff do what ever they can to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel rooms are so clean, place and pool beautiful and the staff including lachman who works so hard to make sure you have a brilliant time nothing is to much trouble for him. fantastic breakfast from Jose who cooked our breakfast it was so good. 2 min walk from the beach . The manager and all the staff made us feel so welcome.

We loved this peaceful oasis in Unawatuna!

Loved our stay in the peaceful oasis of Thambapanni! Lovely pool with monkeys swinging overhead, airy spacious rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. Our extended family group of 7 (including 3 kids) would happily stay again.

Lovely staff
Pros:

The property has a unique Local charm, and staff were very friendly and accomodating. The room was lovely, however air conditioner was struggling a bit and pool was drained for maintenance. Staff generously swapped us to sister Thaproban resort where we enjoyed our stay with a great pool outside our room at no extra charge.

Pros:

Accueil agréable par un personnel très sympathique et professionnel. Les installations sont de bonnes qualités. L’environnement nature et la présence d’animaux, tels que singes, écureuils et oiseaux donne du charme à cet hôtel.
Le Chef du restaurant ainsi que son équipe ont été très attentifs et serviables, le chef en particulier, qui a séjourné et travaillé en Allemagne quatre ans.

Pros:

pretty hotel. a bit tucked away from main strip but that made it quiet. lots of monkeys to enjoy. really helpful staff. big private terrace from bedroom. Pool pretty but small. lovely breakfast, lots of choice.

Cons:

Massage was not that great. water in our shower was cold - but we never told the reception about this and they may have fixed it if we had said.

Een echte aanrader!
Pros:

We hebben hier 3 nachten verbleven. Het personeel is heel lief, vriendelijk, behulpzaam en meedenkend. De kamer was ruim en de badkamer heel netjes. We hebben gebruik gemaakt van de yogales bij het hotel, die heel erg fijn en leerzaam was! Ook de massage was heel prettig. De locatie is dicht bij het strand, maar niet in de drukte. Ik zou Thambapanni Retreat zeker aanraden!

Cons:

De bedden vonden we iets te zacht en er waren weinig stopcontacten in de kamer.

Personnel adorable et chambre confortable
Pros:

Le personnel est génial, le matelas est confortable et tous les jours la chambre est nettoyée. L’emplacement est idéal on peut tout faire à pieds même aller à la plage. Et vous pouvez même apercevoir des singes sur votre balcon. Le petit déjeuner est correct c’est un buffet.

Cons:

Nous avions réservé une chambre supérieure et elle ne correspondait pas exactement aux photos, cela ne nous a pas dérangé mais il n’y avait pas de flexible de douche donc compliqué pour se laver. Il y a beaucoup de marche pour accéder à la chambre et quand il pleut ça glisse énormément j’en ai payé les frais…mais le personnel a été aux petits soins donc bon point.
