I stayed in the pod, sadly the amenities were non existent and the room uncomfortably warm
Pros:

It was clean and the staff were cheerful and helpful

Cons:

No internet in my room, tv didn’t work, no windows so very stuffy and the shower was poor

A interesting stay .
Pros:

The shower room attached.

Cons:

The place was devoid of people only met one person when checking in and never saw anyone else over the rest of my stay even though it remained open for anyone to walk around.Very strange 🤔but somewhere to sleep safely.

Pros:

The member of staff I called to try and check in when there were no staff around was very friendly.

Cons:

We did not see a member of staff throughout the 2-night stay. The bar and restaurant were not open at all. On Monday night the hotel room stunk of fish and chips from the chip shop next door. The light above the shower in room 1 does not work, there was a horrid mat in the shower you had to stand on. The room was filthy with dust on the material headboard, mould in the shower and hair on the floor from previous guests. There was no hand soap in the bathroom either.

Pros:

Pleasant town and the location of the hotel was good if you are touring Wales. It is a no frills hotel providing the basics and fine for an overnight stay. The staff I did come into contact with were very pleasant and helpful.

Cons:

Probably fair to say the hotel has seen better days. Because of its condition the room felt overpriced.

Pros:

Room comfortable and clean

Cons:

Restaurant and bar not open as a conventional hotel but a take away fish and chip shop where they would bring your food through to empty restaurant or you could eat in the garden which was ok on this occasion as were in a heatwave. On requesting drinks as the bar appeared closed was told it operated as an honesty bar. Help yourself & leave a note of what you’ve had

The room was a little tired but I’d didn’t detract from our stay and had everything we wanted for one night.
Pros:

Location great for what we wanted.

Cons:

Allowed dogs, nice garden area for him. Great supply of goods for breakfast which was included in the price.
Fish & chip shop attached to the hotel.

Hands off approach did not suit me

Cons:

The total lack of service I fail to see how a hotel can be successfully managed and run remotely pretty dreadful. The council even managed to start the
re-surfacing of the road just outside my bedrooms window fantastic. No bar open, no food available, I do realise that the road works was nothing to do with the hotel but for me it put the tin hat on it.
