Serene Kandy

Súper recomendable. Hotel moderno recién renovado con habitaciones amplias y baño amplio. La piscina tiene buenas vistas y es un sitio agradable para estar. Andando está a unos 15 min del centro de Kandy y en Tuk Tuk a 5 min (coste aproximado de subir desde el centro 600lkr).
Si volviese repetiría.
Desayuno completo con fruta, comida típica, ensalada, dulce, tostadas, café…

Hotel bardzo przyjemny, przestronne pokoje, bardzo dobre śniadania tzw szwedzki stół. Zamówiliśmy również w ich restauracji kolację w dniu przyjazdu-bardzo smaczna a cena jak w zwykłej restauracji w miasteczku. Basen też fajny i bardzo ładne widoki z góry.

Wonderful hotel in Kandy. Great location; easy walk via the nearby steps to get down to the lake and a pleasant stroll on in town (plenty of tuk tuks around if you don’t fancy the stroll back up the hill!). Everyone was super friendly and wanted to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay in Kandy. Communication was great before arrival and in arranging transfers. Bedroom was comfortable, breakfast lovely and the highlight is that wonderful rooftop pool with a view; perfect spot for a swim or a poolside beer.

We had a really enjoyable stay at Serene Kandy and would happily recommend it.

A special mention has to go to Dushantha, who was extremely helpful even before we arrived. He answered our questions over email, arranged our driver and suggested flexible tour itineraries based on what we actually wanted to see rather than pushing a fixed schedule.

Our driver, Wasantha, was excellent. He collected us from Colombo, took us out for the day in Kandy and later drove us on to Ella. He was friendly, flexible and completely happy to take us only to the places we were interested in, including the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Bahirawakanda Buddha Statue, Royal Botanical Gardens, Sigiriya Lion Rock and a spice garden. He also suggested some good restaurants along the way. We cannot praise him highly enough.

The hotel itself was clean, comfortable and welcoming. The food was good and all of the staff were friendly and helpful.

We also had a massage at the hotel, a Swedish/Thai fusion treatment, which was very professional. The therapist regularly checked that the pressure was comfortable, which was appreciated.

The rooftop pool is a lovely feature. It was a little cold during our stay, but that was really down to the weather rather than the hotel.

Overall, a very positive stay with excellent service, especially from Dushantha and Wasantha. Highly recommended.

The staff were incredibly accommodating, friendly, and always happy to help, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The hotel is perfectly located up on the hillside, away from the hustle and bustle of the town, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere while still being conveniently accessible.

The shower was the best we experienced during our two-week trip to Sri Lanka—warm, powerful, and exactly what we needed after a day of exploring. The restaurant also exceeded our expectations, with reasonably priced food and a great selection. Every member of our family was delighted with their meal.
