Es war alles gut. Nur die Möglichkeit die Fenster des Zimmer mehr zu öffnen fehlte.

Great location, friendly staff, breakfast was really fantastic! Options of continental alongside hot cooked breakfast - highly recommend. The outside tables with a view of the lake were wonderfully situated for an afternoon or evening drink. The shower and bath were great!
The rooms were quite hot, stuffy and we could not open the windows more than a smidge, so hardly any air could circulate. Bedrooms were tired and could do with a revamp.
The area was good. Staff were welcoming and helpful.
I think you needed more staff. We waited quite a while for drinks at the bar even after ringing the bell. We also had to wait awhile to ge seated at breakfast because there was only one person doing everything. I do think the hotel is a little tired. Carpets were thread bare especially on the stairs and empty crockery and glasses in the hall ways after the night before. Also, staff were so noisy in the morning when cleaning up, but 7.30am
is very early when you are on a weekend break.
Superb setting with friendly, competent and most helpful staff. The breakfast experience was amazing. Just wish our stay had been longer.

Beautiful country house and grounds. Gorgeous room. Staff were incredibly helpful letting us have early entry as we had traveled a distance. Outside tables to enjoy the evening sun. Views of Lake Windermere from the garden. Good breakfast. Excellence value overall. Would definitely stay again.

Per raggiungere le principali attrazioni è necessario prendere la macchina, ma per noi non è assolutamente stato un problema. Camera con vasca da bagno anziché doccia.

A wonderful stay at Merewood! The property is excellent, rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly throughout. Highly recommended!

The location is fantastic, a 10 minute drive into Bowness, or 10 minutes into Ambleside. The staff were great, super attentive and went above and beyond any requests. We stayed in a classic room which was really spacious and the bathroom was huge.
