The Belmont Hotel - Adults Only

Visited The Belmont again for a couple of nights. Lovely hotel with great staff. Accommodation, food, service and location is excellent. Highly recommend.

Here for lunch yesterday as a birthday treat for a friend. Lovely food, efficient and kind staff made for a wonderful time. The raptors on the lawn and the Chinook flypast were the icing on the cake. Thank you

I booked this at relatively short notice as a short break following a health episode earlier in the year. We have visited Sidmouth many times but had not stayed before. Being an adult only hotel had a bearing on my choice and also we knew the location was perfect for us. The hotel has a charm that is rare these days with fresh flowers and wonderful staff on all levels. The attention to detail and service is refreshing to see, corners have not been cut and it is good to see so many young people involved. . When I twisted my ankle whilst out in Sidmouth they were so helpful bringing ice to the room a couple of times which really helped. I would expect to be staying here in the future, we loved it.

Breakfast was so good with everything cooked and presented perfectly. Staff in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed a 6 night stay at the Belmont in glorious weather. Belmont is a first class hotel, superb lounge and restaurant, with attentive and friendly service. We stayed in a deluxe sea view room with balcony, and with the views, couldn't have wished for more. Special mention has to be given to the restaurant, changing 5 course menu every day, and waiter service is excellent.
Only feedback, the real ale beer offering in lounge is poor. Only doombar was served by pump, staff unaware how to look after it, was served cloudy on more than one occasion. Guests were going to the Tap Room at the end of the promenade for lunch and evening for drinks where they served Salcombe local beer. The deluxe bathroom does need refurbishing, old fittings and furniture.
In summary, perfect hotel, will hopefully return.

From arrival to departure an excellent stay in a hotel with high standards in all areas encountered.

All meals were superb, staff excellent.

Enjoy the delicious food in a beautiful setting

I stayed for a long weekend with my Mum on the recommendation of many friends who always stay here. It really is an exceptional hotel. You can’t beat the location- on the seafront and just a few minutes walk into Sidmouth town centre to the shops and restaurants.

The hotel is immaculate and beautifully decorated. Everything in the bedrooms were beautifully cleaned and fresh with illuminated mirrors, brand new fans to keep cool, and we had the best night’s sleep on the soft bedding.

We enjoyed the bar in the evening with wonderful sea views and the breakfast was excellent.

What made our stay so wonderful though were The Belmont team. Even before we arrived, they went out of their way for us with their customer service. They were able to ensure we had two rooms next door to each other and even brought in specially a mini fridge for my Mum’s room to keep her medication chilled! All the team here from front of house, restaurant, bar staff, and house keeping were friendly warm and professional. You can see why it is an award winning hotel.

We had a wonderful stay here and will definitely book here again.

Meals gave value for money; location fanastic - right on sea front and next to Sidmouth cricket club (big cricket fan) centre of town within walking distance; good car parking; staff very friendly. Relaxed approach to clothing attire in bar and restaurant - took my suit as I had heard it was needed in restaurant but it was too hot to wear and was reassured by staff "smart casual" was acceptable.

Spa facilities and location to the beach, each meal was delicious and all the staff were friendly and helpful

Dinner was excellent. There was plenty of it and well presented. The staff everywhere in the hotel were very friendly. Very nice atmosphere.
