Make sure the heated whirlpool is working
Pros:

The room appeared clean and well kept. Bedding looked, smelled and felt newly washed. Nice location to travel to Maumee park, beach, easy to drive into Toledo. We also spent one day at Lake Superior returning to our room. The hotel sent me texts during our stay asking if we were enjoying ourselves, if we needed anything. The parking lot and lobby were very clean. Carpet was clean. The owners clearly care.

Cons:

I didn't care for the southwestern type breakfast, or their waffle mix. The indoor pool was ice cold, the pool room was very cool, it was uncomfortable to be wet and cold so we never returned to the pool room. Also the whirlpool hot tub was down until the end of July. I'm learning to verify these things before booking my stats in the future. The room appeared updated but the outlets between the beds one didnt want to work, it didnt want to accept the plug, so i stacked my retainer box underneath. The soap dish had soap scum on it, so i washed it off. The soap scum wasn't a big deal but it just shows that housekeeping was slacking off on certain things, so i washed down the sink top and it was dirty. Which told me the workers are definitely skipping everything they can get by with.

Pros:

The power outage did do any favors the breakfast. At 9;30 there wasn’t anything except cold cereal then had to ask for milk, no waffles , a few muffins no bananas until ask for then they weren’t ripe. I realize the front desk can’t keep up the breakfast buffet at the same time. When the property know there have a full house and a emergency situation there needs to be someone on call to help thru the breakfast hours.

Cons:

We felt the price we paid we enough to have internet included. We handled the breakfast situation by going to McDonalds . Every breakfast needs protein not just carbs.

Would recommend using hotel next door. Disgusting to see blood stains on a blanket and bathroom dirty

The only issue I had was the room. It was a little beat up and dirty. The comforter blanket had blood stains and other stains on it. The fridge was left open so it wasn’t cold. The shower and bathroom was dirty.

Excellent Stay, I'll Be Back!
Pros:

Basically everything. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast each morning was well labeled, stocked and tasty. Ample parking so I didn't have to worry about finding a spot when I got back from the day's outings. Plenty of fast food nearby for lunch and dinner so no excuse to skip a meal.

Cons:

The bathroom door sliding open also closes the closet door because it's the same door. That was weird but certainly not the end of the world.
