Super comfortable beds and quiet. Slept so well! The staff were welcoming and friendly. Fabulous breakfast and the view is amazing.
Things are surface clean, but some attention to detail is needed here (bathtub drawers for example and ledges). For the price, I'd expect nicer products vs. the budget shampoo and body wash on offer.

The service !! On arrival al we had to walk round hotel to find check in staff and exactly the same to check out !!
Breakfast very poor quality eg bacon and sausage dry where the had been pre cooked, mushrooms slimy, no fruit or cereal out only juice would have been nice to have some options out to have during the long wait for breakfast to be served. There was a continental and yogurt/fruit option on menu but not available to help yourself too. We cancelled breakfast for 2nd morning as very poor value and quality.
Service in bar again very slow and the hotel generally seemed either very understaffed or staff not trained well enough to cope with volume of clients - although with rooms etc being pre booked they would have know how many clients to expect
We really like the view from the restaurant bar area. This was our third visit
This was our third visit and we were not as impressed as previous visits. The toilets were dirty and full of urine on the seats and around the toilet and there were lots of cobwebs in the toilet and the room. We were disappointed that there was limited menu on the Sunday, there was not definitive choices for the lunch and dinner menu so we could not order a roast for dinner. We were also brought out side plates and previously we were given bread before our main but on this occasion we wasn’t, even though other tables were. The waitress didn’t ask how our meal was throughout the time we ate. The empty glasses were not taken away also when we were brought more drinks to the table. We did not feel like we were looked after like previous stays and were really disappointed. We spent a fair amount on the stay, dinner, drinks and breakfast and would consider returning again. We feel it has lost that caring personal touch which we feel should be present when you go away to stay in a hotel and are away from home. The dinner was not good. The chips were oven chips and we had hardly any on our plate and the fish was mostly batter and wasn’t fresh. Disappointing. The breakfast in the morning was nice but again the waitress was not attentive and did not ask if the food was ok or offer further drinks. Very disappointing.

Out of the way cant really walk to Whitstable unless you are super fit with the hill coming back but if you want a elevated view a hill is usually involved.

Restaurant is excelellent and staff very friendly
Room 13 is like an oven. The first night i felt like i wad being cooked! It is very claustraphobic - do not book this room.
