Good downtown spot but not noisy or traffic heavy. Very Close to many sites especially national mall, close to subway system and other points of interest.
We had a great stay! The location is within walking distance to two metro stations, it was a quiet hotel and the free breakfast was decent. The room was clean and hotel staff were friendly and responded to our needs quickly.
Great location to all the major sites in DC! Loved the walkability of the location. Breakfast was a huge perk and yummy, very helpful to eat at the hotel before heading out for the day. Our family of 6 had connecting rooms and were very pleased with the accommodations. Definitely recommend Hyatt Place National Mall to anyone who wants the perfect location for their DC vacation.
Hotel within a 10-minute walk to DC Wharf, offering plenty of dining options, and also less than 10 minutes on foot to the National Mall.
It was quite expensive for a family of four, at just under $400 AUD per night. As were the other options near the Mall.
However, breakfast was included, which was a convenient way to start each day.
The hotel was clean, with daily housekeeping, and overall it was a pleasant stay.
I came in late after a delayed flight and the evening supervisor provided me a nice room and answered all of my questions and requests kindly and thoroughly.
We enjoyed our stay it was very pleasant to be able to walk around and just see friendly people lots of foot traffic. Nice places to eat close by that weren’t too expensive.
We stayed here over Easter weekend, and because prices were elevated for the holiday, I did not feel the hotel was worth what we paid. At a meaningfully lower rate, I could see it being a more reasonable option, but at holiday pricing it felt underwhelming.
One thing to know is that the lobby is on the third floor, which makes the arrival experience a bit odd. The main entrance of the hotel was unattended when we arrived, so it did not feel especially welcoming or polished.
The hotel has clearly had some renovations, and there are areas that look updated, but overall it still feels pretty dated. The refreshed parts do not fully overcome the age of the property.
Breakfast was convenient and nice to have, especially when traveling with family, but it was nothing special. It got the job done, but it was not a highlight of the stay.
Overall, the location is useful for sightseeing, but the hotel did not deliver enough in terms of comfort, atmosphere, or service to justify the elevated holiday rate.
Great overnight stay in D.C., excellent location in walking distance of The Wharf, Tidal Basin, the Capitol and many other local destinations. Property was clean and bright, and staff was friendly and helpful.
No Chrome cast in the room but employees don't know, valet service is subpar, couldn't provide the correct procedure and put many scratches on the car
I highly recommend Hyatt Place when traveling to DC. The rooms were clean, there was not excessive noise during the night, the value was awesome, and the location was perfect!
This hotel cancelled our reservation and notified me via email 2 hours prior to check in. The hotel overbooked rooms and was not able to confirm that a new hotel had been booked until I arrived in DC and was able to speak to someone at the front desk. While Hyatt did move us to the Residence Inn and offer us $300 off our total hotel bill and one free dinner, this is completely unacceptable and I will not stay with Hyatt again. At the very least, notify me earlier than 2 hours prior to arrival time so that I can receive a full refund and make my own arrangements.
We stayed in the suite room very nice and spacious. Walk to museums is about 15 minutes. And don't miss dining down at The Wharf tons of restaurants.
Great location for visiting the Museum of the Bible (located just a couple blocks away) and central to many other landmarks.
Hyatt Place was the best hotel. It had a nice room that was clean and very close to places we wanted to visit. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was delicious.
Location, location, location. This Hyatt is on prime location with walking distances to museums and monuments. Restaurant has a top notch view and service. Room is comfortable with a nice view and a super relaxing shower. Warm water and good water pressure. Good for relaxing after a long day walk.
We were in DC for a short vacation. The Hyatt is located in close proximity to the Mall and Wharf. We opted for the king bed suite which allowed me a place to enjoy my early mornings while my wife slept in. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The staff were all kind and courteous. We had one little glitch with the living room TV not working that took a couple of days to resolve.
Always an incredible stay at the Hyatt in DC. We have stayed here multiple times and is thr only place we stay when traveling to DC.
This is where we stay every time we go to visit the Museum of the Bible. It is very close by and the hotel is pleasant, clean and has excellent staff.
I think everything was excellent from start to finish. I genuinely can’t think of a single aspect of my stay that fell short of outstanding. The accommodations were spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained, making it easy to relax and feel at home. Every detail seemed well cared for, from the cleanliness of the room to the overall atmosphere of the property.
Very nice hotel. Clean room
No problems at all
