The location was fantastic. We enjoyed daily walks along the boardwalk views from the dining room and easy access to trains and buses. We enjoyed the classic art and decor and the breakfasts were fabulous.
Dining room staff seemed to be stretched to the limit, especially in the morning.

Beliggenhet og imøtekommende personale
Godt frokosttilbud
Dårlig renhold, særlig i fellesområdene
Kaotisk i frokostsalen
Very helpful staff
Double room a bit small with only a bedside table/locker on one side. A small re-arrangement of the other furniture would have allowed room for a second bedside table.
Poor WiFi. Tv visual not working.
Beliggenheten, hyggelig personale
Kaldt på rommet, ikke mulig å få varme i radiatoren. Lenge å vente på frokosten.
Absolutely loved my stay here.
The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. My train was heavily delayed and I didn't arrive until well after midnight, but the reception team still gave me a warm welcome and handled the check-in patiently. The breakfast staff were equally lovely and always happy to answer my endless questions about the local area and the menu.
The location and sea views are exceptional. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves outside the window was incredibly relaxing. As someone who often struggles with anxiety and insomnia, I was amazed to find myself sleeping for over nine hours. Waking up to clear blue skies and looking out across Mount's Bay was one of the highlights of my trip.
Breakfast was excellent too. The kippers deserve a special mention – not something you see often these days, but absolutely delicious and a lovely reminder of the great British seaside tradition.
A proper Cornish seafront hotel with character, stunning views and fantastic staff. Highly recommended.
Perhaps the hotel should clean my room daily during my stay?
It’s very close the bus station and train station , probably 20mins by walking along the seaside. The most impressive thing is having breakfast with the beautiful sea view outside. The hotel staff is always available for you, they are very patient and very kind! The room is very clean, quiet as well ! It’s worthy the money!
Nothing
I have stayed at the Queens Hotel previously so it was an easy choice to stay with them again. It is a delightful Victorian Hotel, inclusive of sash windows and high ceilings, with décor to match. It has amazing views across the promenade to the open sea.
Nothing. It was perfect..
Great site on the seafront, and definitely pay (extra if necessary) for a sea view room, and ideally one with a bay window. Yes, as others have commented, the decor and fittings definitely need renewing. That said, being a privately owned hotel it has a friendly family atmosphere, and the staff are cheeful, friendly and helpful.
I stayed here on a Monday night and the following Friday. Overall, I would definitely return as my rooms were comfortable and the hotel is in a great location on the seafront. There is a restaurant, which has a lovely sea view, but I didn't use it. The rate I paid was very reasonable and included breakfast. I didn't have time to eat it on my second stay as I was getting an early train, but I had been planning on having breakfast during my first stay, however I was dismayed to be told on arrival that I needed to book a slot for a hot breakfast, which was served from 7am, and that the earliest time that wasn't fully booked was 7:30. This didn't work for me as I was catching the ferry, although I was advised I could help myself to the cold buffet. This was a disappointment as I would have been happy to select a time for breakfast when I booked. Overall, a good experience and I'd be happy to recommend the hotel.
Its a classic memorable building
The coffee, if cafes do geeat coffee, yours was awful
Excellent room
Nothing
A good location with great views. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Unfortunately the lifts were out of order and we were on the third floor. Generally looking a little tired compared to our stay there many years ago
Location. a clean, comfortable bed
I had a very pokey room. It would be helpful to have a little bit of art on the wall. I didn’t think this room was good value.
My friend and I moved to this hotel after a disaster with our first accommodation booking.
The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, allocating us a twin sea view room which was comfortable and clean.
We very much enjoyed the view, despite the rain and our seagull visitors on the window sill were lovely.
Breakfast was also everything you could want with hot food brought to your table, nothing to complain about.
Overall, a wonderful stay and I would not hesitate to encourage others to do the same.
