Regina Hotel

Very helpful staff.

The whole staff at the hotel were excellent. They were very helpful with recommendations and were genuinely concerned, that we have a pleasant experience. The room that we spent our first night in was going to undergo some type of reparation. So the staff offered us a much nicer room with a view of the volcano for no extra charge. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again in the future.

Great location!!

I could not have asked for a better place to post up while exploring La Fortuna. The room was immaculate, the people working at the desk were all very knowledgable (Thanks GiGi and Rocio!!) and while I like practicing mi Espanol, they all spoke English. Very happy with my stay!

Loved the location. A cute and safe boutique for young travelers.

Location was extremely convenient being in the city center. Can walk to everything. City park was beautiful bonus. Staff very friendly and extra helpful.

The breakfast is wonderful!

As a solo traveller it’s important to me that I have somewhere to sit in the evening with an outlook. The terrace at the front of the hotel is ideal. Somewhere to sit with a beer and watch the world go by. Staff were very helpful and pleasant ensuring my stay was good. You do need earplugs for early morning motorbikes going to work.

Love the feel.of this boutique hotel (9 rooms i believe) with a personal touch. It is unfortunate that the bar across the street blares its kareoke and music at too loud a decibel(it's not their fault - i assume other establishment have issues with them). The hotel is expanding and hopefully the new rooms can mitigate the street noise better. We were lucky one night that the power went out at 10:20 pm for about 15-20 minutes and the bars emptied out. We slept better that evening. I used ear plugs in Costa Rica because the roads do have noisy road warriors and few places are sound proofed and that is in most small tourist towns.

Eco friendly, smoke free and truly a welcoming spot. The rooms are big and have decent amenities. The staff is great in helping you book activities (especially if the apps are no longer booking) Rosio can sometimes sneek you in under the wire.

I would like go back again.

Excellent local hotel right in the heart of La Fortuna. The people who run this hotel are amazing, friendly, helpful and gave us great recommendations for dinner.

We were on the front of the hotel so was a little noisy but we had no problem sleeping. Air conditioner was excellent.

The reviews are not lying, the noise is a LOT. I wear earplugs every night anyways so I wasn’t too bothered but I could still hear it through them. If you’re a light sleeper choose somewhere else for sure. Other than that, it’s a great location, staff is absolutely lovely, room is spacious clean and comfortable, breakfast was good but not if you’re in to a BIIIIIG breakfast, nice snack before heading out. They gave us a cacao pod to take to our next location! Love Regina.

We had an incredible time at Regina Hotel. The staff was incredibly responsive and helpful. We got in super late at night and they were able to still greet us and check us in. There was free breakfast every morning - nothing fancy, but enough to fuel us before we set off. The room was clean. The shower is a bit delicate -- it only gets hot if you have the water barely on, but it does get hot! We found that this was how other hotels in Costa Rica worked, too. The A/C worked great. We didn't hear the night club across the street at all, but we were also there on weekdays. Our room faced away from the street and we thought it was pretty quiet. Right on the main road in La Fortuna. Would definitely recommend!

Good Hotel if you are looking to stay in downtown La Fortuna.
