Rancho Humo Estancia

This beautiful eco-ranch was a real treat during our trip to the Nicoya Peninsula. Kenneth was our exceptional host who made us feel welcomed every day - he is an extraordinary staff member who runs everything: he was our tour guide, translator, our waiter in the restaurant and in the lovely pool, and such a dear, positive light of energy and kindness. He is also incredibly knowledgable about all of the birds and wildlife. We experienced both the boat tour and the wildlife bird-watching tour - both outstanding, but the bird-watching tour was the best, and it is what this ranch is known for with all of the wetlands. Our room was beautiful and very clean, the bed was comfortable, our private view amazing, the included meals were outstanding and freshly made, and we loved the pool and patio areas. We were treated like family by Kenneth and the staff - it is a very special place in the world.

We had the pleasure of being the only guests at the hotel, and probably the last guests of the season. The host generously upgraded us to a junior suite, which made our stay even more special. We had a spectacular experience, the hotel was superb! The beds were extremely comfortable, and the room was very spacious, with a magnificent view.
Our host, Kenneth, was truly amazing and exceptionally hospitable. He took care of everything we needed and even treated us to a private mini-safari. We also did the boat tour, which was the most exciting thing we've done in Costa Rica so far.

Serene, great location, attentive service, great activities

This was a beautiful stay in a tranquil location, with exceptional service from Kenneth and the other staff. We were able to do a horseback ride and a boat tour all in the 24 hours we were there. We had two young kids with us and they loved it too. Pool was nice for the kids, and the in house dining made life very easy on us as parents. Thank you!!

La comida era casera, simple pero deliciosa; se nota que estaba hecha por una chef que pone su cariño en lo que cocina. Pero lo más valioso fue el staff del hotel, muy amable, atento y cálido. Siempre preocupados de nuestro bienestar, entregándonos información muy valiosa y oportuna. Agradezco especialmente a Paola y Keneth.

Beautiful lodgings! Very welcoming and accommodating thanks to Kenneth who seems to run the show. The pool was appreciated on a hot afternoon. The meals were home cooked and tasty. The living room is a perfect place to relax after dinner. We enjoyed the art and furnishings.

Everything was wonderful. The facilities and room were luxurious. The food was delicious.

The thing that really makes it exceptional is the staff. Kenneth will do everything and anything to ensure you have a great experience.

Although the staff people were sweet, Kenneth went out his way again and again to ensure that we had a great time.
