Pros:

Everything you needed in room, easy walk to supermarket and other shops.
I particularly liked the available luggage storage room for before and after check in.

Good value Hotel
Pros:

Perfect for our 5 night stay ,value for money . Continental breakfast included was good. Lap Pool .quiet area .

Decent stay between flights and tours into the national parks
Pros:

Comfortable and spacious room with little balcony, individual AC and dehumidifier. Comfortable bed, super friendly staff and you can buy quite good coffee to your breakfast. Good WiFi. Self service laundry to a decent price per load.

Cons:

While many parts have been renovated and are in a good, up to date state, some parts, like the room doors still show the hotel’s age. So you hear noise from the corridor or neighboring rooms quite well. Breakfast is rather meager.

Dated hotel, quiet location, great staff, comfortable
Pros:

Very friendly staff - made great restaurant, cafe and coffee recommendations. Free continental breakfast was a bonus and $10 for the cooked option is very reasonable. Good sized room, comfy bed, quiet area.

Cons:

The pool is very odd, and you need to walk through the breakfast area to get there. The windows in the breakfast area look at the pool, which is much smaller than expected and pretty much above ground. There's very little space around the pool - wasn't the place to chill and relax that I'd imagined. The rest of the hotel is very dated, and the lobby/breakfast area is a very strange layout - I was expecting something fancier for the money and the photos.

Pleasant and comfortable stay in a modern hotel.
Pros:

Reception staff were super helpful, pleasant and friendly. The hotel provoded a clean and modern room in a quiet pocket on the edge of the Darwin CBD.

Cons:

The bathroom would have benefitted from a shower curtain at worst, or a frameless screen at best to minimise splashes to the rest of the bathroom.

Cons:

Pomimo tego że zarezerwowałem hotel ze śniadaniem i zapłaciłem za niego z góry okazało się po przyjeździe że żeby zjeść tak zwane ciepłe śniadanie trzeba było dopłacić 10 dolarów australijskich od osoby za każde śniadanie o czym nie było informacji w momencie rezerwacji

Location, value and friendly staff
Pros:

The Argus is in a great location and great value for money. Close enough to walk to bus stop, the waterfront, the Esplanade, Mindil Beach, restaurants and entertainment. We found the all the staff friendly and very helpful. Our room was all we needed, as we only really slept in it. The facilities at the hotel were great. A gym and swimming pool, and the continental breakfast had plenty of options; you could pay extra for a cooked breakfast. We will be recommending The Argus to family and friends who travel to Darwin.
