Check in was fast and efficient. The staff members were all friendly and helpful anytime we needed anything.
The room was clean and we had plenty of space. We booked the Mountain View room and we loved the views.
The bed was comfortable. The shower had good water pressure.
The inside hotel bar area was great. We went down two nights and the food and drinks were good. The bartender was excellent. She was welcoming and friendly. She was busy but did a great job.
This hotel is in a safe and quiet area of Asheville.
My only issue was the doors shutting to other rooms can be a little loud at night.
I would definitely stay here again!
My husband and I had the BEST time celebrating my birthday. The room was amazing with gorgeous views of the mountains! The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special, especially Lynn at the front desk! Thank you, we will stay at this Hilton again!
I had a great stay at the DoubleTree Downtown Asheville. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location with easy access to downtown restaurants, shops, and attractions. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making check-in and check-out quick and hassle-free.
Whether you’re visiting Asheville for business or pleasure, this hotel is an excellent choice. The rooms were quiet and well-maintained, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient place to stay in Asheville.
Lynn and Mitchell have been awesome. They have endured my stay was as pleasant as could be. Liliana from housekeeping has done an excellent job making sure my room is fully taken care of. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay and walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops.

If you’re considering this hotel, be prepared for a masterclass in incompetence.
In a single stay, we were asked to pay for a breakfast that was already included in our reservation, our room was not serviced, our key stopped working, requested towels never arrived, and management’s response to our complaints was complete indifference.
Our room was not serviced at all. No fresh towels. No replenished water. No coffee. No tea.
Our room key stopped working. It was reprogrammed and still did not work.
After I reported these issues through the hotel chat, I was asked what could be done to improve our evening. I requested fresh towels, bottled water, coffee, and tea. Hours passed. Nothing was delivered. No one followed up.
The breakfast situation deserves special mention. We were asked to pay for a breakfast that was already included in our reservation. Later, I discovered an additional $4 tip charge on my folio that I did not authorize. After multiple service failures throughout the stay, finding questionable charges on the final bill did not inspire confidence.
My advice to future guests: review your folio carefully before checking out.
At checkout, I informed management that our room had not been serviced and that the requested towels had never arrived. The response I received was simply:
“Okay.”
That one word perfectly summarized the entire experience.
The hotel itself is not the problem. Asheville is wonderful. The problem is management. When housekeeping fails, the front desk fails, guest services fail, communication fails, billing raises questions, and management shows no interest in resolving any of it, the issue is no longer individual mistakes. The issue is leadership.
This hotel doesn’t need better apology scripts. It needs management training.
The staff were excellent, especially Holton at the front desk
Highway noise
It was within walking distance of the venue
It was within walking distance to the venue but the homelessness and drug problem in this city is alarming! We didn’t walk because we were afraid of what we you’ll encounter along the way. And I think we must have been in the top floor under the restaurant because it was incredibly loud especially at night and heard chairs moving above us all night.
Spacious room, very clean and comfortable. Firm beds. Very good breakfast
Nothing in particular
Nothing to complain about at all, lovely hotel, wonderful helpful and polite staff, and fantastic location

Check in, room size and comfort and cleanliness. Rooftop bar was lovely and staff were very friendly.
I thought breakfast was included in rate but that was my misunderstanding. Service at breakfast was a litte slow even though there was very few people being served.
