Awesome oceanfront hotel
Pros:

The hotel is nice, big with several pools and areas to relax. The oceanfront is very beautiful with cool little piers to see the sunsent. The gym was spacious and well equipped. We really enjoyed the facilities. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable as well as the beds. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The Queen room details on Booking are misleading, it says 2 King beds + sofa bed, but there are no King beds, only Queens, and there is no sofa bed in the room. Also, Booking gave an option to choose rooms with breakfast included, but there is no breakfast buffet in this hotel. At the front desk they told us that breakfast is not included, just the restaurants that serves breakfast. However, after showing the error on Booking, the staff was super friendly and gave us breakfast coupons ($25 per room) to use at the restaurant.

Fantastic place to stay!
Pros:

This is a beautiful property!!! It is right on the water and the sunset both nights was beautiful!! We enjoyed the pool and the food and drinks we had were fabulous! Our room was spacious and clean. There was no distracting noise from other guests although we were not facing the pool, but I didn't notice noise in the evenings either. We did see a couple of kiddos, but the parents kept them entertained so it wasn't distracting at all. The general manager was actually in the lobby greeting guests and gave us a couple of tips of things to do. They have reciprocity with the Hilton Faro Blanco - just not with paying. At the Hilton, you can't bill to your room, but that's not a big deal. We did eat dinner at the Hilton property and it was fantastic! Walking around between the properties was easy and there were multiple places from which to watch the sunset. We would definitely recommend it!! The GM did tell me that the way to get the best rate at a Bonvou property (Marriott, for example) is to use the app. I had no idea so thought I would share it here.

Wonderful memorable stay in Marathon
Pros:

An absolutely wonderful place to stay. Stylish decor. Great pools. Beautiful sunset from jetty, lovely clean spacious rooms, and really comfortable bed with quality bedding.
From checking in to leaving, we were treated with respect and friendliness and utmost professionalism.
Nothing was too much trouble and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Highly recommend.
