Not much parking - remember book in advance

Ontbijt was prima
Na de definitieve boeking werd duidelijk dat er geen lift was. Mijn vrouw is minder valide en de onvriendelijke baliemedewerker gaf ons alleen de optie om een duurdere kamer op de begane grond te boeken. Ook na de boeking kregen we net dat het restaurant was gesloten.
The staff were excellent, especially the reception staff upon arrival
One minor pick up was they didn’t have any draught lager in the bar - but a very minor point :-)
Location is good and convenient
Small room, old and lack of maintenance. Room temperature is high, too close to the street with traffic noise.
This hotel is just on the outskirts of Windsor, and within a 10 minute walk you're in the heart of everything. The breakfast was delicious and the service in the restaurant in the morning was great.
We had a very rude welcome by the staff, when we were surprised to uncover that we had no parking available for the second night of our stay (we discovered we had failed to read the email, but in the end its cheaper to park in the parking deck 5 mins walk away!). And ALL night the first night, and part of the second night, the washing machine was running. I kept being woken up by the spin cycle. There was nothing restful about my stay. We came down the next morning to bags and bags of laundry all piled up at the door. I don't know what was going on, but it was odd. And lastly, we were informed only a few days before our stay the restaurant was closed for dinner Sunday and Monday--which was when we visited. I can't say there was much I enjoyed about this stay other than the breakfast.
The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast delightful. I liked the size of the hotel. It felt unique not like a chain enterprise.
Increased parking. I mistakenly did not reserve parking in time. We were able to find parking on the street but had to move early.
