Everything
Nothing
Breakfast was very good service was excellent.
More parking would be nice but not a real issue.
Excellent food.
Quiet genteel atmosphere.
Tiny issues with room. 'Wonky' tap.
Cigarette smoke rising from open window
Hotel and staff were perfect
Dogs barking from 9pm to 11 30pm.....if l wanted to stay overnight in a kennels l would have. Would never stay in hotel again while poxy dogs are allowed
The welcome we received and the general, positive attitude of the staff made our stay a pleasure. The room was comfortable and clean. The ambiance was of old fashioned style with all the mod cons you would expect today. The food was excellent and well presented.
Charming traditional hotel
Loved the Pool
We arrived in good weather 21 degrees
The heat g was on in the room which made the it stifling to sleep at night
We told reception they said it comes
on when people are showering!
It was a on all night
Very uncomfortable for sleeping
Obviously the system is faulty
Room 48 not sure if it’s every room.
loved the character and the charm of the property, beautiful dining room for breakfast, relaxing and peaceful.
all the staff were very friendly and well presented.
The bedrooms are dated for the expensive price, also heavy stains on the carpet which was unnecessary just needed a carpet cleaner, abreakfast closed without really finishing, would’ve been nice to be informed that the kitchen was closing.
Breakfast good although portiiions small. Alll staff were great and the gardens superb
Room needed an update. It was hot and there was no aircin or even a fan
The staff stood out all the time, from reception to bar to dining room. Very friendly, professional, fast and efficient.
Just one thing, at breakfast I asked for a coffee with hot milk. The waiter asked a fellow waiter next to him if he could manage my order and I heard him say "a black coffee for the gentleman". So I chipped in and said "and hot milk". A third waiter then came with hot milk and no coffee.
As part of training, please ensure you teach staff to be attentive all the time and to everything. Every minor mishap still is a mishap and to a client being at your hotel to relax and enjoy, things like these dent the experience.
I think the bathroom in the room was sub-standard. Grey vinyl flooring with dirty edges. Also, I understand this is an old-style hotel, but please, separate hot and cold water taps? In 2026? This to me shaves off a star or two in my rating.
There were three families by the pool and their young children were making a lot of noise and splashing around and taking over the whole pool. I had to move away from there as it was too noisy.
Please manage this better.
Good position in Ventnor
Hot rooms, dated furniture
Old facilities
Very expensive for the quality of the hotel
The staff were amazing & helpful. The food was delicious & the dining room was stunning.
Didn't have AC, but had a huge sash window to open with a cool breeze & thick beautiful curtains to keep the mosquitos out.The bathroom having no windows was very warm, but only minor issues as it was the hotest May we have experienced!
The location is perfect and the property is wonderful. Staff are very helpful and very welcoming.
Since the weather was very hot it would be nice to have a fan in the room to help circulate the air since there was not much wind to get the room to cool.
Historic building, good facilities.
Nothing
Location, areas for relaxing in the gardens and conservatory. Light meals / snacks available during the day.
