All the staff were helpful, polite and very friendly. We were made to feel welcome and special. It was nice to be served breakfast (from a good choice) rather than the ubiquitous self-serve buffet. Dinner, while on the expensive side, was excellent and well presented. The garden was lovely and had a number of outdoor seating areas, and a small pool which our granddaughter enjoyed.
The decor was perhaps in need of some attention, but had a historic charm that meant this didn't really matter.
Staff were wonderful and friendly, very polite and professional. Helpful & welcoming. The pool area was lovely, the room was bigger than I expected for a single room. Breakfast was fantastic, greta choice and lovely room. Peaceful location, nice coastal walks nearby. Cocktails were delicious!
The lounge area was a little grubby and well used. It's in a weird position in the lobby up some stairs.

The bed
I loved my room, it was so calm and beautifully decorated. There was a lovely view of the garden out the window. It was very clean and had everything you would need for a stay. Breakfast was brilliant, there was loads of options and everything was tasty and well cooked /prepared. The staff were all so kind, friendly and obliging, nothing was ever too much trouble for them.

Location lovely, nice old building. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Aircon is expensive to install but ceiling fans not so much which can make a huge difference in the many heatwaves we are experiencing. A fan was provided but it was small and not enough. Staff where helpful but a lot of miscommunication at breakfast as to if we had ordered or not etc and this caused delays.

My room and bathroom was not cleaned properly. Bath was full of hair and more hair near the floor.
Staining bedroom carpet and room not dusted properly.
Took some of the hair I found to reception and said I was not happy and wanted House Keeping informed. Receptionist said they would inform House Keeping and Management... They never got back to me in person or email.
Charmant verblijf op een toplocatie
We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad in The Royal Hotel Ventnor. De ligging van het hotel is echt heerlijk en het zwembad is een fijne plus. De service van het personeel was prima, al kan de ontvangst bij aankomst nog wel wat aandacht gebruiken.
De kamers zijn met 19 m² aan de kleine kant en net als de rest van het hotel wat gedateerd, maar dat wisten we van tevoren en het geeft het gebouw juist ook wel zijn charme. Het restaurant in het hotel voldeed helaas niet helemaal aan onze verwachtingen. Gelukkig vonden we in de buurt een paar kleine, maar erg goede restaurantjes waar we prima hebben gegeten.

The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The dinner menu could have varied more over the week. It was rather expensive.
