Fabulous hotel to stay at beautiful pool and day spa
Nothing I loved everything about this hotel
Amazing.
Just loved the whole ambience of the place.
And sitting outside watching the sun go down was beautiful.
Lucy on reception exceptional.
Ger in the Bar (I hope that's his name) exceptional.
Great stay
All great no complaints
The leisure centre was fantastic
The service in the restaurant could have been friendlier
Lovely hotel and grounds, very good food and nice pool area
Dinner was excellent
Pool changing rooms could be better
Friendly staff, comfortable room, great vegan options (apple crumble had no crumble on it though!) Kids club available although we didn't end up using it.
Breakfast not included in what was a hefty price for room.
The breakfast was excellent! €15 all you can eat
Scenery was great. But not near anything . To exspensive also. The pool was ok but the towels were dirty.
Very exspensive . Near nothing .
bed was comfortable, good ventilations, breakfast and evening meals were fantastic
What I liked was the hotel’s location and the family-friendly facilities, such as the playground and the kids’ cinema. The hotel looked fantastic in the photos, especially with the swimming pool, which was the main reason we chose to book it.
Unfortunately, the reality was different because the pool was closed and not in use. It was very disappointing, especially since this was the main feature that influenced our decision to stay at the hotel.
What I didn’t like was that the swimming pool was closed and not in use. We booked this hotel specifically because of the pool. Our kids were really excited and had even bought lots of things to enjoy an evening by the pool.
Before our arrival, I received several messages on the 23rd, 26th, and 27th saying that our room was being prepared, which was appreciated. However, at no point did anyone inform us that the pool would be unavailable. If we had known in advance, we would have chosen a different hotel.
When I asked at reception why nobody had informed us, the response was simply, “Sorry about that.”When I asked somebody from staff, I was told that the pool had been closed since the morning /afternoon. This means there was plenty of time to inform guests before they arrived, allowing us to decide whether we still wanted to stay.. Better communication would have allowed us to make an informed decision before our stay.
Staff where outstanding. The food was brillant.
We had a wonderful stay , staff and food were excellent , some small things like changing rooms at the pool and under staffed in bar restaurant etc, but these most definitely are out weighted by the wonderful atmosphere and the staff who were there especially Lucy on reception and Eowyn in the food areas . Overall we were very happy .
Lovely hotel, nice staff, good food, spa and pool
The area was lovely. The gardens were beautiful
We went with our two special needs girls so we could have a couple of days in the hotel and let them swim as it’s limited what they can do. We got told Tuesday at dinner time when we had come back to the hotel for the pool that it was closed for maintenance so we were left with nothing to do with our girls on one of the hottest days. They were very short about the whole thing as much as so what. But to us it was the whole reason for going to a hotel with a pool. Surely maintenance is planned and people should be informed. 😞 we left early as girls were fed up in the room. We were not comfortable in the restaurant as its bus loads of elderly people.
But building is lovely
Very good hotel, rooms a good size and beds comfortable, had a good breakfast, staff very welcoming with a special mention to Alex the night porter and barman. It's about a 20 minute leisurely walk into New Ross, which is Ok in the dry but not a lot of fun in the rain! We saw the pool and spa facilities which all looked good, though we didn't have time to use them.
Brandon House Hotel is a gem. We arrived late in the evening to a warm welcome from the night porter. Our room was very comfortable and spacious with everything we needed and more. We'd a great sleep in the large super king bed. Breakfast was top notch, there was a large selection on offer. Staff were friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night to break our journey but we're look forward to returning for a longer stay in the future.
