Such a beautiful hotel. The staff was amazing. Everyone is so helpful. We had a great stay. The food was amazing.
Stayed with the family this week. We really enjoyed the pool and the playground for the kids. I wouldn't recommend availing of the family deal with the meal included (the options are quite limited and I wish I'd just gone bed and breakfast). On both nights, the bar was a shambles for food. On the first night, we waited well over an hour between starter and main course. On the second night, it was a battle to get the bill and then pay it. Desserts were delivered but I had to get my own spoon etc. The waitresses were really nice but they appear understaffed and it's all a bit chaotic. Our beakfast experience was more positive and it seemed much better organised. There would also appear to be a lack of visible management around the place.
De oprechte vriendelijkheid van de medewerkers
Geen verkoeling in de kamer
Great friendly staff and good food at the library bar.
Room was very warm due to the weather. Could have done with windows being opened and fan put on before arrival.
I Had a lovely starter of chowder,no complaint
My partner had Haloumi and salad, the salad was poor.
I choose open prawn sandwich.
It arrived with a sad looking salad.
The almost raw prawns looked slimey when I scraped off the sauce which was like a watered down maryrose.
The buttered bread was not butter and had gone yellow around the edges..to be honest it was a mess.
My partner got a smoked salmon open sandwich.the salmon was so dry it must have been out on a pass all morning.
I fail to comprehend how a CHEF COULD OR WOULD allow such poor quality food to leave the kitchen.
Shame on them.
Ps the "food" was very well priced on the high side.
To conclude.
You have lost many future customers from my experience there today.
All the staff were very kind and poiletly helpful .
That is my honest opinion of my experience in the library bar restraunt .Pat
We have stayed at the Brandon House hotel for many times town through the years . It’s a lovely place . While we enjoyed our stay our room while spotless smelt a little musty .
We dined both nights in the bar and on night one Eowyn was our server , this young lady is incredible she’s so warm & welcoming and as my husband is coeliac she went through the menu with him and her knowledge of coeliac disease was excellent she is a wonderful ambassador for the hotel, there was another man who’s name escapes me now but he was excellent too .
Our only complaint if you could call it that the weather was beautiful so the air con in the bar while it’s lovely to have is set too high we did ask if it could be turned down and it was for a while but it eventually was turned up again (I know it is easier for the staff to work in) so we ended up going out sitting on the terrace to warm up as we had no jackets or long sleeve tops with us.
We look forward to our next stay
Kind regards

Fabulous hotel to stay at beautiful pool and day spa
Nothing I loved everything about this hotel
Amazing.
Just loved the whole ambience of the place.
And sitting outside watching the sun go down was beautiful.
Lucy on reception exceptional.
Ger in the Bar (I hope that's his name) exceptional.
Great stay
All great no complaints
The leisure centre was fantastic
The service in the restaurant could have been friendlier
Lovely hotel and grounds, very good food and nice pool area
Dinner was excellent
Pool changing rooms could be better
Arrived in the hotel a week ago. Reception desk was fine and friendly . Our room was dated, basic but clean. It overlooked a large plastic bubble in which a swimming pool was situated. After resting for a while we decided to have bar food rather than go down town. (Good decision as the return journey from the town would have challenged the SAS explained later ). The food was fine but the main issue was clearing of tables. Having eaten our meal, we had to ask a staff member an hour later to clear our table. Our table was quickly cleared but much to our surprise none of the other tables were, hence the local feathered wild life feasted happily for the remainder of the night. I like birds but it's not my preference to dine with them.
I found the management and supervision of the outdoor area very poor and it was little better indoors as once again tables were full of uncleared of glasses.
I must say all staff members were extremely friendly and helpful , a lack of floor management was the problem.
I believe it is the only hotel in New Ross so little competition and this shows in many ways. Competition is good. Even with a swimming pool and Spa I would rate this hotel at max 3*.
Not very suitable for aged or people with mobility issues as the driveway into the hotel is very severe and many will have an issue walking back up the driveway to the hotel from New Ross. When asked reception stated that there was not an efficient taxi service into the town, we found the opposite , there is a great service and very efficient taxi service called New Ross Taxi
Will not be rushing back. Would love to visit New Ross again as we did have a wonderful meal downtown in Bearu restaurant and locals could not be more friendly
New Ross is a great town with great people. It needs more hotels
Friendly staff, comfortable room, great vegan options (apple crumble had no crumble on it though!) Kids club available although we didn't end up using it.
Breakfast not included in what was a hefty price for room.
