The hotel and room looked beautiful and the staff were very friendly.
Whilst the place looked beautiful there were several issues with our room during our three night stay. The shower water was dangerously hot and could not be adjusted. The tap in the wash basin was broken and came off. The toilet rocked when you sat on it. Then on the last day of our stay the toilet did not flush. The door to the terrace would not lock which we thought was a security issue. Finally the wifi did not work. Staff said it was an Apple problem and tried to fix it unsuccessfully.

We returned for our last night in Sri Lanka after starting our trip at Zylan and were looking forward to our return. The staff are great, love the coffee and breakfast and a huge shout out to Thanuja for the best coffee we had in Sri Lanka and looking after us so well.

Excellent vibe, after the hustle and bustle of Colombo town you can come back and relax in this beautiful space with excellent staff and wonderful food. An absolute gem.

Breakfast was order off the menu, so not as good as an open buffet or the usual Sri Lankan breakfast
Small room that you cross the restaurant to get to, AC didn’t work. Breakfast a la carte and if choose egg you can’t have yogurt or anything else.
Very expensive for what it is and definitely not for families. Just glad it was only for one night.
Nicely decorated, with exotic local touches. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Two cold local beers were awaiting us in the fridge with two complimentary water bottles. The breakfast was not included, à la carte, offering a great variety.
Wonderful boutique property in a premier neighbourhood. Professional and helpful staff. A nice and quiet ambience. An in-house fine dining Japanese restaurant was an extra!
No mirror in the room. There was no water pressure and the hot and cold mixture in the shower needed a good few minutes to adjust. The luxury of a refreshing shower at the end of a sultry day was sorely missed.

I enjoyed my short stay at Zylan Colombo. All members of staff were so lovely and kind, they made the beginning of my trip so welcoming.
I tried out the Japanese restaurant onsite on the first night and the food was also pretty good. I would definitely recommend staying here when in Colombo.
