Excellent hotel, but the view is not what we expected.
Pros:

The hotel itself is excellent. The room is very pampering, looks exactly as advertised, and the service is extremely good friendly - kind and helpful, but not in an intrusive way. All facilities are very clean, and very well maintained. Very quiet, very calm. We had a really good sleep. The hotel was fully booked when we were there, but we did not experience it as busy at all. The pool and spa were always available with plenty of space and privacy. We also really enjoyed the e-cars that are available for free use by the hotels guests.

Cons:

The hotel is called "the view", and the pictures advertise a magnificent view from the room. Perhaps there are other better rooms, but we stayed in a junior suite, and the view was just ~ok. It's certainly not what it looks like in the pictures shown on the website. You can see some of the lake, but it's far from the breathtaking views that we were expecting (and which we did experience in some other places). Most of the lake view was blocked by buildings or large trees that grew tall further down hill. As such, I'm not sure that the location is so attractive for the price - the location on the Paradiso hill is worth it for a splendid view, else it may be worth taking a top hotel in Lugano itself with better accessibility.
