Pros:

Hervorragende Lage! Besser geht es nicht. Direkt gegenüber vom Zahntempel, direkt am See! Riesiges Zimmer und superfreundlicher Empfang! Das Essen war hervorragend und der Pool toll im heißen Kandy!

Cons:

Man muss wissen, dass die Zimmer zur Straße extrem laut sind und unter unserem Fenster wurde bis nachts um 5 eine Tribüne gezittert, da in der Woche drauf Poya war. Mir war es egal, weil ich eh immer Ohrstöpsel für solche Fälle dabei hatte, aber man sollte es wissen.

Blöder war für uns, dass es sich um ein 3 Bettzimmer handelte und ich vorher angerufen und geklärt hatte, ob wir ein Zustellbett haben könnten (in das Zimmer hätten noch 2 Betten gepasst 😉). Da hieß es, das sei kein Problem und kostet 15$, als wir müde von der langen Reise ankamen, hieß es erst, wir hätten doch nur 3 Leute gebucht. War dann aber kein Problem, wir hatten allerdings auch kein Zustellbett (haben aber auch nicht mehr nachgefragt, weil es für uns gereicht hat). Allegemein ist es uns in Sri Lanka öfter begegenet, dass besprochene Dinge nicht schriftlich gemacht und nicht aufgeschrieben wurden und viele Direktbuchungen von anderen Reisenden waren überbucht. Es scheint also eher ein allgemeines Orga-Thema zu sein, daher vielleicht vorsichtshalber immer kurz vorher nochmal nachfragen.

Our stay at Queens Hotel Kandy was exceptional from start to finish. The location is fantastic, with everything conveniently within easy walking distance, making it an ideal place to stay while exploring Kandy.

The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and professional. The guest relations team were exceptional and made us feel very well looked after throughout our stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the overall service was outstanding.

The hotel’s beautiful decorations and atmosphere added a special touch to our experience. We were very impressed with the professional service and warm hospitality.

I would highly recommend Queens Hotel Kandy to anyone visiting Kandy. It was a wonderful experience, and we would be delighted to stay again!

Location is great… loved the view of the temple from room balcony!
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was very good with variety of items. We did enjoy our stay and hope to be back.

Cons:

Hotel looks very tired and needs renovations at the earliest as it is such an iconic building.

Pros:

市街地にありロケーションは素晴らしいです。仏歯寺までもホテルエントランスからすぐのところにあり観光しやすいです。周辺にお店も多く短時間の滞在でも楽しめます。

Cons:

古い建物ですがきれいに清掃されています。古い建物のせいか、建物全体の換気性能が悪くやや黴臭く、洗濯したものが乾きません。

Pros:

I booked the hotel for my son’s birthday, and they took care of my wife and son far beyond my expectations! They truly surprised him with a beautiful birthday cake. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They stayed in Room 107, which had a stunning view of the Kandy Lake from the balcony. We definitely plan to visit again next year!

Pros:

L'hôtel est bien situé, juste en face du temple. C'est un hôtel historique, charme désuet. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner correct. La piscine agréable.

Cons:

Le bruit (sur rue, impossible de dormir !), l'odeur de pétrole (c'est le produit pour lustrer le parquet, odorat sensible fuyez !).
Le dîner buffet n'est pas bon.

Geweldige locatie, gedateerd hotel
Pros:

Prachtig oud hotel in het midden van Kandy. Je zit direct aan een tempel en het meer. Personeel zeer vriendelijk.

Cons:

Het hotel is inderdaad oud en vooral de badkamers zijn wel aan een grondige renovatie toe. Het is echt prachtig maar het voelt een beetje als vergaande glorie die echt in ere hersteld moet worden.

Pros:

The bedroom was comfortable with a good view overlooking the temple. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast buffet had a generous selection on offer and reasonably priced. The bar was great and the pool area was nice.

Cons:

The bathroom door was hard to use as it didn't slide well and the shower wasn't great. You could also hear the neighbouring rooms whilst in the bathroom.
