一晚上萬的房費，房間裡面沒有備品要符合極左派法規可以理解，大部分酒店會私下只要客人問就提供，沒想到萬豪居然刮鬍刀還叫客人自己去7-11買！

Pros:

The services was acceptable only within in this brand, not excellent.
The staffs in the reception area were not proactive even they were free and they could see we are looking for the elevator.
The room has humid smells.

Pros:

The hotel exceeded my expectations. Everything was hassle-free, we paid extra for breakfast and it was fantastic, vast choice of food. The Lobby Lounge bar was our favorite place, be it 11 AM or 11 PM. It's pretty cool they have Fernet Branca (well, they had, until we finished the bottle). Hopefully they will stock up on it and keep it on the menu! The rooftop bar (INGE'S Bar & Grill) was also very enjoyable, fantastic views under the open sky. Nice staff, clean and comfortable rooms, pretty much what you expect from Marriott.

Cons:

The location is not the best in my opinion. Although the view of the city is breathtaking, it feels removed from the "hotspot". But this might be a big plus for some people.

The Best Marriott I've Visited So Far
Pros:

Located a short distance from central Taipei in Zhongshan District, the hotel sits in a newer high-rise neighborhood that perfectly balances seclusion and convenience—quiet and family-oriented yet lively, right beside a train/MRT station and major shopping centers. It offers a refreshing taste of contemporary Taiwan without the intensity of Xinyi District, and the short distance to Xinyi keeps everything accessible.

Location
At 199 Lequn 2nd Road, the property benefits from excellent walkability to nearby shopping and dining, with the surrounding area providing pleasant strolls that highlight modern urban Taiwan. The well-maintained, busy-yet-calm vibe made it my favorite district for Taipei stays, delivering the best of both tranquility and activity.

Arrival and Property
The arrival experience set a high tone: friendly doormen promptly took our luggage and escorted us through a fast, seamless check-in. When my Brilliant Suite wasn’t quite ready, staff directed me to the 19th-floor executive lounge, where stunning city views provided an ideal waiting spot. The lounge sits conveniently next to the fitness center, allowing me an excellent workout with Technogym equipment while my room was prepared. Though I didn’t use the spa or pool this time, both are on the upper levels with promising skyline views.

Room
The Brilliant Suite was gorgeous—spacious and modern with high ceilings, minimalist elegance, thoughtful lighting, and lovely city views. It created a genuinely luxurious and comfortable environment that made for a wonderful stay.

Dining
Breakfast required an additional charge (not included as an elite benefit). The selection and quality at Garden Kitchen were superb, featuring fresh and flavorful dishes. The Hundred-layer Tofu Salad stood out as a particular favorite. While the offerings differ from the Regent’s gold-standard breakfast, they remain excellent and highly enjoyable depending on personal taste.

Service and Ambience
Service was consistently solid and attentive. The hotel’s overall ambience feels modern and elegant, highlighted by the lobby’s impressive arches, soaring ceilings, and tasteful mix of light green tones with warm wood elements.

Verdict
The Taipei Marriott Hotel excels with strong hardware, thoughtful wellness facilities, quality dining, and reliable service in a location that perfectly suits those wanting a mix of peace and proximity to city conveniences. It’s an easy choice over more central but busier districts, and at a great price. I look forward to returning—ideally with time to enjoy the spa. Highly recommended.

Ticks all the boxes for me
Pros:

This hotel ticks all the boxes for me. A fairly large and comfortable room, friendly and service minded staff, excellent breakfast, a well equipped gym and a lovely 25 m rooftop pool. What is not to like?

Pros:

公設豪華感，服務週到且熱心。停車非常方便。

Cons:

房間空調超大聲，幾乎無法入睡。最後受不了把空調關掉才得以安眠。這根本不是高級飯店該有的表現。

Location and Good Hospitality Justifies a Stay Here
Pros:

A premium Marriott property whose virtue is its central Taipei location. Friendly staff, decent service and clean rooms. Not luxury, but a good accommodation for the Taipei visitor.
