YEHS Hotel Sydney CBD

We stayed at YEHS CBD Hotel Sydney for the second time around and, once again, Argelie and Suman created a milestone remarkable experiences during our stay. We were allowed an early check-in with a special VIP set-up. Tons of thanks to the former General Manager, Mr. Jandro who visited us during our stay as he was transferred to manage YEHS Harbour Suites also in Sydney. He spent his time visiting us when we checked out for a send-off courtesy. The room is impeccably clean, linens and towels are fresh, and the bedding arrangements are well presented and organized. Despite the numerous guests Argelie is dealing with and interacting at the reception, she always finds some time to greet us with her charismatic smile. The hotel location is their topnotch advantage for their guests as it is within the central business district. Housekeeping daily services is indeed commendable, as the attendant ensures the highest standard of cleanliness and sanitation in our room. Over all, our three-days stay was truly enjoyable and extraordinary. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family and will come back to stay for our future visit to Sydney.

YEHS Hotel Sydney CBD is in a very convenient location, right in the heart of the city. It’s close to the light rail, Chinatown, the Chinese Garden of Friendship, and many bars, pubs, and restaurants. Central Station is also nearby, which makes it easy to travel to other parts of Sydney or the airport. International plug was a pleasant surprise. 
We booked this hotel for one night between two other stays, as extensions were not available. The hotel feels more like a backpacker-style property. The room was quite small (as shown in the photo), and the bed area was compact. Some rooms are advertised with windows, but the window cannot be opened and only faces the wall of another building.
The standard check-in time is around 2–3 pm. The staff offered early check-in around 12–12:30 pm if we liked them on Instagram with their individual names, which was surprising and not a standard hotel practice.
Overall, the location is excellent, but the hotel is basic and best suited for short stays or solo travelers who just need a central base in Sydney.

Stayed here for 5 nights over new years 2025. Was fine for the time. Quite expensive for a 3 star but was a premium time. Two single beds. Not great deal of room around the beds.
Bathroom was good size with good shower. Tap over sink bit strong kept getting toiletries wet from splashback. Exhaust fan bit weak with warning over steam setting off alarm. Wifi has no password and is weak.. great location though. Pretty quiet.

The reception staff were helpful and kind. What we did not really like is the room itself. There was pubic hair on the bed when we entered, so maybe the sheets were not changed. The bed was also itchy according to my partner. The phone was not working when we tried calling the receptionist. The TV could not connect to youtube. The room was also not that sound proof. We could hear stuff from outside and rooms beside us. The location though was great. It was in the middle of the shopping area

It was good, but it was noisy outside especially on Friday to Sunday night.

The location of the hotel is ideal, tram and trains nearby to get anywhere in the city quickly. I did request a room that wouldn’t be too noisy as it is directly next to a pub and I had read other reviews about noise. The room was fine, furnishings are old but so is the building, they would need to completely renovate to change that. Otherwise our room was clean, the bed was comfy, the staff are lovely. If you just want a base to sleep at night it’s great.

Slip shot cleaning job done on 26 September 2025 . Rubbish was not cleaned . The shower gel which was broken was not replaced. The bed was not done.

Fantastic location, really lovely and friendly staff and quiet rooms. The room had good Aircon and the shower was great. Very good price for the accomodation. Loads of places for breakfast nearby so need to do breakfast included. Not a romantic couples hotel but perfect for exploring Sydney. Next time we're in Sydney, we'll be booking here!

Really good stay

The property was very central to where we needed to be. The rooms are outdated and could do with a spruce especially to be competitive in that area. Bedding was comfortable enough. We could not program the TVs which pretty much rendered them useless. Travelling with an older parent he wanted to watch some TV when back in the room but he couldn’t. The staff did provide a bottle of wine and some chocolates but the TV would have been more useful. Staff were pleasant and check in and out was easy. Complimentary water was in the room. No parking available but there are options close by. Suitable for overnight.

Honestly. Not impressed. The room was tiny, almost as big as the bathroom and my side of the bed was against a wall. At 50 years old, it’s important to be able to easily get out of bed to go to the toilet. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Great location. Bed:pillow not so great so didn’t sleep as well. All other facilities were good
