Helemaal top, aanrader!
Pros:

De locatie is fantastisch, direct aan zee. De nieuwe kamer met de grote ramen en de deur die toegang tot een kleine tuin aan de zee geeft. Het enorm vriendelijke personeel. Chef Unai maakt een top ontbijt voor zijn gasten en maakt heerlijke zoete lekkernijen gedurende de middag!

Cons:

Even opletten: ontbijt moet je tijdig reserveren.
Ook: de kamer had geen airco maar twee (goede) ventilatoren.

Really lovely place to stay
Pros:

We loved staying here. It’s is so close to the most beautiful beach. We swam numerous times each day. There are great paths for hikes nearby. People are extremely friendly.

Wel jammer dat de receptie niet altijd bemand was en dat de douche niet in afgesloten ruimte was.

Charming place to meet the basque coast
Pros:

The place is a treasure in every sense - starting with the fact that it is one among the few (if not actually the only one!) vintage style older houses right on the beach among all the newer and rather faceless higher buildings on the first line. It is a family-run hotel and you can feel it all the time with the personal care and attention of the owners and the staff. Having a bottle of fine local wine in the courtyard facing the beach in the evening was a great experience, long to remember. Restaurants and pintxos bars are in walking distance along the beach promenade. The stylish interior of the rooms and the comfortable size of the bathrooms were also something to certainly praise!

Cons:

Finding a parking place in the high season was quite of a challenge. It seems to be an issue for the entire village and not for the hotel itself, but it was a quest. The good point is that the large municipal parking is really close to the hotel (2 min. literally), but, being apparently the only one serving the entire beach, much patience is needed until you get the luck of some car going out just in front of yours... The single weak point of the hotel iteself to note was the fact that one of our rooms did not have AC (the other had and probably all will soon). It was not a major problem for us, but in hotter days those sensible to temperatures should probably check this in advance.

Blick aufs Meer, nur Promenade zwischen Zimmer und Starnd. Meeresrauschen beim Schlafen :-), sehr stylisch eingerichtet. Ausgezeichnetes Frühstück mit sehr persönlichem Service.

WC zum Zimmer nur durch tlw. durchsichtige Glaswand getrennt..

Surfer bei Sonnenaufgang- und untergängen beobachten
Pros:

Die direkte Lage an der Strandpromenade, dass man zu Fuß in kürzester Zeit nach San Juan de Gaztelugatxe wandern konnte und dass wir am Ende unserer Nordspanienreise in 20 Minuten am Flughafen Bilbao sein konnten.

Cons:

Dass man sich bei einem doch höherpreisigen Zimmer um das Parken kümmern muss. Es gibt einen relativ nahegelegenen öffentlichen Parkplatz, der aber nur stundenweise bezahlt werden kann, das heißt man muss jeden Tag die Zeiten und das Parkticket rechtzeitig überprüfen/nachkaufen.
