Ontbijt is super en personeel erg vriendelijk
Erg gedateerd, viezig en versleten. Verschrikkelijke geur uit de badkamer op sommige momenten.
The Atmosphere in this hotel is Royal. It feels more luxurious and royal than what you payed for so props to that.
Rooms are good but my one fault about the rooms is that they have a pungent smell likely caused from the carpet
Pool is excellent and the overall view of kandy surrounding it is superb.
Service is excellent, chefs are good there’s ambient music wherever you will go and don’t get me started on the laundry service. Perfectly priced and the fold it neatly inside of their clean bags.
The Grand Kandyons Laundry team is absolutely amazing.
Noise level is also great and hotel walls drown out the sound well.
I’m not a picky reviewer but this hotel hosts no complaints from me.
We had a wonderful stay at Grand Kandyan a truly luxurious Hotel. Starting from the GM Thusith Samaraweera Managers Hilary Smith, Ronald and many more and down to the room boy gave us excellent service. The food was absolutely delicious too. This is my 8th visit to the hotel and look foward to coming many more times.
We had an excellent stay here at the Grand Kandyan Hotel in Sri Lanka. From July 10-13,2026. From the moment we arrived until we checked out, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Everyone greeted us with warm smiles, was incredibly accommodating, and showed exceptional hospitality throughout our stay.
We truly appreciated the thoughtful touches, especially the complimentary fresh fruits and delicious sweets that were prepared for us. These small gestures made our experience even more special.
A special thank you to Lea and Angelique, who consistently checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Their attentiveness, kindness, and professionalism made us feel valued and well cared for.
The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with elegant architecture and excellent amenities that made our stay both comfortable and relaxing.
Overall, our experience at the Grand Kandyan Hotel was outstanding. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kandy and would be delighted to stay here again in the future.

It was a great stay, and love the ambiance & Hospitality provided by the staff, especially the food was amazing.
We had a birthday celebration at the Blitz Hall at Grand Kandyan yesterday, special thanks to Mr. Thlilak and Mr. Priyantha for well coordinating the event and making sure everything went according to plan. They were incredibly patient, attentive, and made the whole process so much easier especially when helping us decide on the menu. Their suggestions were thoughtful and helped create a great experience for everyone. Really appreciated their kindness, professionalism, and effort in making the event special. Recently, we celebrated my daughter's wedding at this hotel, and it was a wonderful experience. The location is beautiful, and the atmosphere is elegant and perfect for a special occasion. The event was very well organized, and the staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The food was delicious and clean, which all our guests enjoyed.
The couple's room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the service and hospitality. A highly recommend hotel.
Not sure if we were upgraded, but our room was massive and had the view from the promotional videos. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was well-appointed. The pool was large, and the lobby space was photogenic.
The whole experience was dreadful. ..
There were bugs on the bed, stains on bed base..
The curtains were ripped..
The light shades were stained..
The wall paper was stappled on the keep it in place..
The frigde and surrounding walls were grotty and stained..
We checked in to this so called 5 star hotel and checked out straight away and went to The Queen Hotel..a classic Colonial Hotel established in 1864 ..with class and clean , beautiful tastful rooms...not tinsy plastic bug infected hotel..DONT STAY HERE...
Chef Duminda was awesome, he understood what was our choice of our food and served accordingly. Rest all was ok.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Grand Kandyan Hotel in Kandy. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well maintained. The staff were friendly, helpful and always ready to assist with a smile.
The breakfast had a good variety of food and the views from the hotel were beautiful.
The location is also convenient for visiting attractions around Kandy.
Overall it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kandy.
