Cheap and not cheerful
Pros:

Location is very good. I’ve stayed here twice now.

Cons:

The air con is stuck on hot and you must call the staff if you need it to be altered. The single room - I’ve tried it and the double rooms. The single room gets noise from the metro/trains. Avoid.

Stay was ok, not great. The guest only leaves with an experience, nothing else
Pros:

Location was good.

Cons:

Noise of the trains exacerbated existing tiredness.
Mould in shower needs to be removed, treated.
A sign to tell you whete reception was would be most benificial

Handy to shopping and Darling Harbour
Pros:

The hotel was right in the CBD, so was handy to shopping areas and also Daring Harbour. The bed was comfortable and the room was fairly clean.

Cons:

The room was very small with barely any room to walk around the bed. The bathroom was very small as well. The room is dated and need of refurbishment.

Pros:

Great location, comfortable bed, nice hot shower with good water pressure, friendly staff, good value accommodation in the centre of the CBD

Cons:

Deep rumbling noise all day and all night, sounding like aircon or trains going past.
No view out of the window, staring at wall, so kept curtains closed. Couldn't even open a window.
Mobile reception pretty poor in the room.
TV very laggy and difficult to operate.
Dated walls, ceiling, bathroom, could all do with a refresh.

Convenient place to stay
Pros:

In the heart of the CBD, it’s close to public transport and very convenient. If you’re looking for just a simple place to stay, I can’t recommend the hotel enough. The staff were very accomodating to my requests and super friendly

The security deposit is a little silly and unnecessary. The hotel name Megsboom is not a good one it needs a better title
