I thought the shared spaces for those paying for accommodation were excellent.
Pros:

The charm. Also the personal service, with the Manager taking us up to our room. And also that there was a block of soap in the bathroom.

Friendly, comfy traditional Aussie pub hotel at a great price.
Pros:

Staff are so accommodating and friendly , which really made me feel at home. Loved the room service and pub food and relaxed atmosphere of the place. I found the room clean and comfortable and really good for the price. I would definitely come again , likely more often if I needed to spend time in Willoughby.

Cons:

I didn't have a very clear or easy way to communicate with the hotel other than looking up their phone number , online, and then calling them, but then you can only really call from 10am which is checkout time. It would be much more helpful and convenient if there was a phone in the room you could call downstairs with, but that's a minor issue.
Location wise, while still close by to lots of major suburbs and areas, for someone without a car like me, Willoughby is a bit of a weird spot to be in and not amazing for buses and no real walkable shops or anything nearby. It's kind of difficult to be dropped off to the hotel during daytime hours as it's on a main road , makes lugging bags kind of annoying.

Pros:

So welcoming, great staff, good atmosphere, food and cocktails were great, rooms are always clean, comfortable and have a modern aesthetic. Nothing was too much trouble for staff, extra blankets provided as it was a cool night. Free parking out the back. Great location. Great prices. We have stayed many times and booked again for our next Sydney trip to stay here again in a few months.

Great location and get old pub feel. Really cool to stay upstairs. Love the tall ceilings and the balcony which you can watch the world go by
