NA
This hotel is absolutely not a 5-star hotel, and I genuinely do not understand how Booking.com still allows it to retain that rating. The only part of the hotel that looks impressive is the lobby — once you enter the rooms, the standards drop drastically. At best, this feels like a 3-star hotel.
The rooms are extremely tiny, poorly maintained, and honestly quite dirty. Cleanliness was one of the biggest issues throughout our stay. The toilet was filthy, the towels and door mats looked dirty and overused, and the floor had a grimy, sticky feeling to it to the point where we were constantly tiptoeing around the room because it felt uncomfortable to walk barefoot. There was also barely any ventilation, which made the room feel stuffy the entire time. Housekeeping standards were poor and the room never really felt properly cleaned during our 6-day stay.
To make matters worse, not all of the staff were friendly or helpful. The most unacceptable incident happened at around 1AM when the power in our room suddenly cut off. We were kept awake for approximately 45 minutes while they tried to resolve the issue, with little regard for the fact that guests were trying to rest in the middle of the night. At checkout, all we received was a simple “sorry,” which honestly felt dismissive considering the inconvenience caused.
We were also charged 621,000 IDR for what they claimed was “tattoo residue” on the bedsheets that supposedly could not be removed. While we understand hotels may charge for damaged linens, the amount felt excessive and left us feeling ripped off. After reading previous reviews, we noticed multiple guests mentioning unnecessary “damage fees,” so this does not seem like an isolated incident.
Another major hygiene concern happened before we even checked out. At around 12PM, housekeeping left the “welcome cookies” for the next guest inside our room even though the next guest had clearly not arrived yet.
Staff were very accommodating and respectful
Location can be a issue for some , although transport providers such as grab make trips to poppy lane and the likes of Sanur very affordable
Staff were amazing! Facilities are great, amazing value for what you pay. Breakfast was awesome and the restaurant food was great. Super cheap clean and will definitely come back!
